Problems of education of the caregivers of the person with Alzheimer's disease

The bachelor's thesis reports about problems of Alzheimer's disease. It briefly looks at the history of the illness, introduces diagnostic and therapeutic methods and also mentions alternative options of approach to the patient suffering from this disease. At the last but not least it describes the nursing care about such patient and emphasize the importace of education of the family caregivers. The main part of the thesis is created by quantitative exploratory survey which focuses at three work groups. The first group is represented by family caregivers of the patient with Alzheimer's disease. The survey's main aim is to find out about the amount of the information they have regarding the given problems and the way they deal with their new life situation. The second group is formed by general practicioners and the third group is represented by the home nursing workers. The target of the survey concerning these two groups is to find out about the extent of the education they pursue and eventual obstacles.

Inquiry based teaching/ learning in physical geography

This diploma thesis deals with both theoretical part of the new trend in education, it is meant inquiry based teaching/ learning, and practical part which is useful mainly for geography teachers on the 2nd stage of primary schools. Inquiry based teaching has the aim in increasing the efficiency of the science subjects education on primary schools and getting pupils interested in study and interests. In view of the fact that the physical geography has many under parts, there were chosen three main categories for this work: hydrology, meteorology and climate, cartography and geographical informational system. In the theoretical part there is dealt with a definition of a term inquiry based teaching and learning, its using in the world educational systems and its integration into Czech educational system. On the grounds of the studied materials it was made "A set of projects for inquiry based teaching in geographical lessons on the 2nd stage of primary school. This practical portfolio includes both methodical sheets for teachers and worksheets for an explorer. Chosen projects were tested in practice and they are evaluated in the final part of the whole of the diploma thesis.

The development of the employment of the manufacturing industry in the South Bohemian region from 1930 to 2011

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of the employment rate of the manufacturing industry in the South Bohemian region. The development is monitored from 1930, because of the unavailability of the older statistical data. The year 2011 is the last monitored year. The last statistical census was in 2011. There are eight profile years, which were established according to the census taken in the region of Czech Republic, with the exception of the year 1989, because of the availability of the more detailed data for this year. The methodology of the thesis is very important, due to the disunity of the statistic and counting methods. The thesis is concerned with the region of the South Bohemia. There are seven districts now, but there were some changes in the history. The development of the historical administrative division is also included in the thesis. Whole work is completed with the charts, diagrams and maps.

Land cover/ land use in the suburban rural backrground of the city České Budějovice

The bachelor thesis deals with the land use and land cover in the suburban rural background of the city České Budějovice. The area is defined by 39 cadastral areas of the municipalities which are situated in the surrounding of České Budějovice. These municipalities are specified by the share of commuting to work into regional capital city České Budějovice. This limit of the share is 50 % and more. This thesis describes and presents the land use and land cover changes between 2008 and 2012. In the attachment there are 5 case studies where the changes are captures in 2003, 2008 and 2012. The work is divided into theoretical and analytical part. In the first one there is described the problem of the suburbanization, changes in land cover and land use and rural issues. In the work there are included maps of land use/ land cover of each cadastral area in 2012. In the second (analytical) section there is each cadastral territory described and its changes in land use/ land cover, which are based on the field research. The issue of suburbanization is evidenced by the table of the development of population in each territory or there are described some others aspects which affect the trend of suburbanization. The summary of the whole studied area is described in the conclusion.
