Zajíčková, Šárka ; Lamka, Jiří (advisor) ; Jílek, Petr (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of pharmacology and toxikology Student. Šárka Zajíčková Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Jiří Lamka, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Results of parasitological diagnosis and evaluation of drug administrations in population of wisents in the game enclosure Židlov II This diploma thesis continues on the thesis "Results of parasitological diagnosis and evaluation of drug administrations in population of wisents in the game enclosure Židlov I." This second part deals with the examination of parazitostatus of an acclimatization enclosure after the release of bisons into the game enclosure Židlov. Parazitostatus of the acclimatization enclosure was tested by biological study using sheep. A nine sheep herd was placed, on the vegetation season, into acclimatization object and spend there 7 months. For another 3 months (winter season) this herd was stabled in the breeding object, then 6 pieces were butchered and then undergoed parasitological autopsy. Samples of fresh droppings of these sheep were, across the whole period of biological studies, coprologically examined for the presence of trematode eggs. Findings were in all cases negative. Also, the autopsy examination did not prove the presence of trematodes, the acclimatization enclosure...
The influence of course of pregnancy on the risk of allergies in children
Pipotová, Helena ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (referee)
BACKGROUND: Allergy is currently becoming quite common disease, espe- cially in the childhood and its prevalence is still increasing. Risks and factors have beed described for more times already. Clear definition has not been de- monstrated yet, that's why it is neccessary to specify and expand circumstan- ces which influence arising of allergies. AIM: To compare the group of allergic children with the group of non allergic children with different risks influencing the arising of the allergy. Expanding of the risks can help us, where to direct the individual sub-studies. METHODS: There were sent 4000 structure and anonymous questionnaires to the czech basic schools, mentioned for parents of children who were born between 1995 and 1999. 1697 questionnaires returned back, 1655 of them with qualified dates were evaluated. Alltogether 42 questionnaires could not be included in the evaluation as they were emty - any of the required answers were fulfilled. We were concentrated in the group of 418 allergic children and 759 of non allergic children. Children were marked as allergic, if they met any of allergics from their age of 2 years all at once or they were treated and they were forced to visit an alergolog or immunologist at the same time. RESULTS: Under risk factors belongs : taking medicaments during...
Mites and allergy.
Hrabcová, Veronika ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Kudláčková, Zděnka (referee)
Veronika Hrabcová Allergy and house dust mites. Bachelor thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Healthcare bioanalytics - Medical Laboratory Technician Background: Based on the literature we attempted to clarify the effect of moisture and temperature on the population of mites in dwellings. What are the mechanisms that reduce house dust mites and whether in the past fluctuating temperature and blankets freezing influenced the incidence of allergy. Main findings: The population of mites affecting many different factors, the most important are temperature and humidity. Mites D. pteronyssinus preferred the conditions of 23 ř C and 75% relative humidity (RH). During the winter, we can commonly found in homes average humidity around 25-45% RH. Through the day, mites are exposed to the fluctuating humidity, which are relatively well adapted. In combination with temperature, it is possible to create an unfavorable environment for their development and survival. When temperature increases, RH decreases below critical threshold humidity (CEH - Critical equilibrium humidity) and the mites are unable to obtain water from the ambient environment and thus complement their losses due to evaporation. Similar conditions apply as well in the air mattresses. On these principles...
An examination of trombophilie statuses the territory of the Ústí
Šklíbová, Jana ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Fátorová, Ilona (referee)
Jana Šklíbová: The Occurrence of Prothrombotic States in the Ústí n. L. Region and Their Treatment Monitoring This thesis deals with thrombophilia - either an inherent or acquired defect in haemostasis mechanisms which causes heightened inclination to thromboembolism. Early recognition of prothrombotic states as well as general risk markers in patients and an early treatment can reduce the occurrence of thrombosis and thromboembolism, thus saving many a life. The focus of this Bachelor Thesis has been on performing selected thrombophilic marker tests - a blood-platelet count, prothrombin test, activated partial thromboplastin time test [aPTT], antithrombin test, protein C test, protein S test and activated protein C test) on 2 groups of patients and a control group. The first group consisted of people who had not yet suffered from thrombosis, but demonstrated symptoms of risk factor presence (e.g. a family history, repeated miscarriages, pregnancy complications, etc.). The second group included patients who had recently had deep vein thrombosis. The data obtained from the tests have been evaluated statistically in order to find out whether the two sets of subjects are significantly different from each other. For the statistical evaluation, D'Agostino method for testing normality of value...
Chlamydia - the old-new diagnostic and therapeutic problem in human medicine.
Šifaldová, Lenka ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Voxová, Barbora (referee)
The bachelor work is focused on diagnosis and treatment infections, which are caused by Chlamydia bakteria and Chlamydophila bakteria important in human medicine. It is Chlamydia trachomatis a common caused of sexually transmited infections and Chlamydophila pneumoniae beggetter of pneumonia. In the theoretical part of the work present morfology, biology findings and antigen set of different types of chlamydia bacteria are summarized. It is payed attention to life cycle, pathogenicyty and immunity system reaction. It is hard to recognize these infections because of different clinical manifestations and covering them in other diseases. Physician awareness in this problem and laboratory diagnosis is still limited. Therefor, the course of the disease is complicated, it can usually contribute to the chronicity and cause to serious impact as woman infertility. The aim of this work is also description and treatment options of most common infections. In the practical part of this work existing laboratory methods are described. Patient resultes of chlamydia infections, which were done in Central Laboratory SZZ Krnov during 2.1.2008 - 24.2.2010 , there are also presented.

Immunological evaluation of patients in "waiting list" for kidney transplantation.
Kica, Ondřej ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Krčmová, Irena (referee)
The transplantation might be in some cases the last chance to save life of the patient. This therapeutical approach is used in those organs, which are not replaceable by any alternative way. The main problem, which was not solved yet, is a rejection reaction induced in the body of the recipient, where the diferences between HLA antigens of the donor and recipient play a key role. Precise laboratory examination of the patient on waiting list before the transplantation is one of the essential factors affecting the outcome of the transplanted graft and its recipient.
Diagnosis of Allergies Caused by Immunoglobulin E.
Drahošová, Vlasta ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Drahošová, Marcela (referee)
In this bachelor work we have tried to handle the topic Diagnostics of the allergies mediated by the immunoglobulin E. The aim was to shortly and clearly describe the allergy from the beginning to the end. The work has been divided into the theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the origin of the allergy from the molecule to the clinical demonstration has been described. However it is mainly dealt with the diagnostic tests, which should show us how such allergy is being discovered. With regard to the fact that this part is very wide, the most important and most widely used tests have been chosen. The therapy has been mentioned only very briefly. For the easier orientation the images and schemes have been used. In the practical part the examination results of the overall and specific IgE for the whole year 2010 from the attraction zone of Hospital in Havlíčkův Brod have been covered. The main aim of this part was to find out some data about the allergy evolution in our environment. We hoped that we might have found interesting results; and we think this has happened in some cases; in the others the old and known truths have been confirmed.

Antimicrobial effect of agents predestined for prevention of contamination V.
Lepíková, Pavla ; Jílek, Petr (advisor) ; Křivčíková, Lucie (referee)
This thesis deals largely with the influence of UV radiation on the antimicrobial effects of several paint coats, which differed only varying concentrations of zinc oxide. Therefore, the relationship of concentration of oxide to the antimicrobial effects was studied, too. In this work, paints were tested by three different methods. As the test microorganisms were used S. aureus, E. coli and C. albicans. Using the first method, tested paints were not irradiated with UV light at all. Using the second method, paints were irradiated 30 minutes before applying the bacterial suspension. Using the third method, tested paints were irradiated simultaneously with bacterial suspensions. After cultivation of removed samples, CFU numbers were determined. By processing the values was found that the paints tested using the third method had the best effect. Thus the influence of UV radiation on the antimicrobial properties of the examined paints was proved. Results also showed that the most effective paint contained 7.9% ZnO. Testing demonstrated the greatest sensitivity of Gram-negative bacteria E. coli. The paints had the smallest antimicrobial effect on C. albicans.
