The Development of Ethnographic Bibliography and its Providing at The Institute of Ethnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic

This paper surveys the beginnings and the development of ethnographic bibliography and the work of bibliographers working at the Institute of Ethnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (formerly the Institute of Ethnography and Folk Studies of the Czech Academy of Sciences). The concept of ethnographic bibliography writing as developed by L. Kunz and as applied at the above mentioned institute is evaluated. The project of R. Jeřábek is also mentioned. The paper includes a survey of Czech ethnographic literature and bibliography
