Population Protection against the Floods in Jesenik Region

The topic of Bachelor's thesis is The Protection of Population from floods in Jesenik Region. Bachelor thesis was developed by domestic resources. The first part deals with the legislation and the cooperation of authorities to flood the Integrated Emergency System. Furthermore, it deals with the 1997 flood in Jesenik region and 2010 flood in Liberec region. At the conclusion of the investigation and processing of local drafted a manual for citizens to flood the village of Pisecna near Jesenik.

Emergency Situations and Information of Population

This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with extraordinary events and providing information to the population. The first part describes the division of extraordinary events and providing information to the population in each phases of extraordinary events. In further describes the informedness of citizen and the preparedness for protecting itself of citizen. The work includes radio broadcast emergency information and evaluates the Conception of civil protection. Part of the work are my suggestions to providing information to the population.

Plan of Measures for Implementation in the Event of an Emergency Situation in a Research Institute Building

This work deals with the elaboration of an action plan in the case of emergency (e.g., fire, explosion, leakage of hazardous chemicals, etc.) in the manufacturing Company VUES Brno. The Action plan, which is designed on the initiative of the Department of Civil Defence - District Brno – north, will become a part of the response plan within this district. The thesis applies particular requisites of the emergency plan in terms of the district Brno - north. The main requisites include the warning responsible authorities, the residents informing, the guidelines for sheltering and evacuation of residents, and the organization of a medical support. The action plan (Particulars requisites) is accompanied by corresponding legislation. The danger zone was determined by the model release of hazardous substances used in threatening object using software ALOHA and TerEx. These programs evaluate the possible consequences of the accident according to physical and chemical properties of the substances based on the conservative projections. Results correspond to the worst possible consequences of the situation. In the case of manufacturing Company VUES Brno the highest risk was evaluated as a fire of flammable liquids. The danger zone was set at 100m in the surroundings. Particular steps for population protection are therefore planned for the distance 100 m from the object. The work also contains the graphical part of the map marked with the radius threat map of evacuation routes and map roadblocks. In order to improve the awareness of potential emergency for the population living nearby, a leaflet containing necessary information in the case of emergency was designed.

Significance of emergencies modelling using specialized programmes

The Master's Thesis deals with the usage of various software tools in emergency management and in environmental protection. Nowadays, on every step we make, we can face emergency situations which can cause great harm to the environment as well as to human life and property. The theoretical part provides an overview of software tools. Different software tools, their basic parameters, development and usage are described. There are also explained terms like geographic information system, etc. The practical part is focused on the instruments used in selected countries, including Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary, USA, Canada and the United Kingdom. In the conclusion is the comparison of the effectiveness of software tools in emergency management and in environmental protection.

Návrh stavby pro krátkodobou rekreaci v lokalitě ŠLP Křtiny

The topic of the bachelor thesis is the design of two different structures for short-term recreation in ŠLP ML Křtiny. Both designs are designed for easy use by physically handicapped people. The first solution proposes a summer cottage for short-term recreation with an outdoor shelter made of wooden posts. The second solution proposes a shelter with a column structure made of logs with the camp fire place. Suggestions include a description of the structure, layout of a shelter for physically handicapped persons and solutions of technical equipment in a given location. Both proposals are accompanied by drawing documentation.
