THE ROLE OF THE TERRITORIAL STAKEHOLDERS IN THE PROCESS OF REGENERATION OF THE PRAGUE'S RAILWAY BROWNFIELDS

The study focuses on the role of regional and local stakeholders involved in the regeneration of selected railway brownfield sites in the city of Prague. These neglected sites hold great potential for the development of the city. The purpose of the thesis is to examine the application of the concepts of participation, top-down and bottom-up approaches and the 4 KO concept on the example of their transformation process. Development in the territory cannot take place without the involvement of key stakeholders from the public administration at the city and district level, private sector representatives, especially owners of brownfield sites and developers financing the regeneration, as well as without experts and the general public. Open dialogue and consensus building amongst stakeholders is an important prerequisite for a successful regeneration. The interviews conducted with the stakeholders involved in the preparations for the regeneration of the Žižkov Railway Station and the Smíchov Railway Station brownfield sites served as a basis for the evaluation of the level of communication between these groups. Corruption in Czech Lands in Interwar Period - Contingency or System Error?

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of corruption and affairs linked thereto. Thesis researches corruption as a phenomenon of current time and introduces corruption affairs that took place and were massively discussed in daily press during the period of first republic (i.e. 1918-1938 on territory of Czechoslovakia). Because of finding out more about corruption affairs topical just after the creation of Czechoslovakia and learning more about the historical relations it is possible to understand why this problem is basically inevitable in this time. First part of the thesis researches corruption as a general phenomenon, focuses on its definition, forms and distinction. Also, causes and consequences of corrupting conduct are dealt with. Corruption is also introduced in a light of current legal stipulations. Part of this thesis is devoted to means and methods of measuring and finding out about corruptions. The second part of this work deals with corruption affairs in Czechoslovakia that took place between the world wars from the point of view of daily press and meeting in parliament.
Analysis of the electoral cycle and its impact on Czech Republic state budget revenues and expenditures of between years 1993 and 2013

The aim of this Bachelor Degree thesis is to analyze the influence of electoral cycle on development of state budget revenues and expenditures between years 1993 and 2013. The introduction deals with set up goals and the reasoning behind them. The theoretical part focuses mostly on theoretical knowledge and data used in the following practical part. This part deals with development of state budget expenditures and revenues, moreover evolution of state budget deficit and how electoral cycle affects it all. In the end of this work is confirmed or refuted the theory of electoral cycle.
