Holistic Medicine as a Phenomenon Now Days Time

This thesis focuses on the comprehensive approach to human health. She attempts to shed more light on this topic, to document current circumstances related to the psychosomatic medicine and the so called holistic medicine, and to clarify the manner of understanding these concepts nowadays. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis constitutes a rough summary of the comprehensive approach to human treatment, a view of fundamental theories of psychosomatic medicine and its current position in the Czech health system. The thesis also includes an outline of applied terms which are connected to the comprehensive approach to human treatment, especially in the specialized literature. The practical part of this diploma thesis monitors the way in which the media use the terms of holistic medicine and psychosomatic medicine. Further, a general understanding of these concepts is demonstrated by the means of a questionnaire survey on a sample of 454 respondents. Moreover, the practical part is completed by interviews with two specialists of the Czech psychosomatic scene. Tax systems of EU countries and agreements to avoid double taxation Abstract This thesis discusses double taxation avoidance agreements in the context of the European Union. It compares contents of selected bilateral double taxation avoidance agreements signed between the Czech Republic and five other European Union countries with the OECD model agreement. Aim of the thesis is to find out how the reservations of individual countries to the OECD model agreement are incorporated into their content. At the same time aim is to verify the influence of the European Union on the wording of those agreements. The first part discusses the tax theory and application of methods for elimination of double taxation in practice. The second part examines the harmonization of tax legislation in the EU and its influence of the European Court of Justice on the double taxation avoidance agreements. The third section describes the types of model agreements used by European countries, their development and reservations of individual countries to the OECD model treaty. The last section analyzes chosen agreements in the context of the OECD model treaty.

Tax policy and economic crisis

The work aims to compare the tax measures in countries receiving international financial assistance during the economic crisis between 2007 -- 2013. For comparison, three EU countries were selected which are members of the tax policy, tax measures, tax, Ireland, Cyprus, Spain, the euro area., and which hadn't faced the lack of funding before the crisis - Ireland, Cyprus and Spain. In order to compare selected countries, it was necessary to define the requirements of the tax systems in general first and determine what the economic crisis is. The current crisis is systemic and therefore tax measures implemented in selected states have affected all of the taxes. Most of partial tax measures have been made in personal income tax and VAT. On the contrary, the tax on corporate income remained almost unchanged in Ireland and Cyprus. The vast majority of anti-crisis measures in selected countries have led to an increase in the tax burden on individuals, mostly people with higher income.

Real extate tax in England

Firstly, my bachelors' paper deals with the importance of tax revenue for local budgets in the Czech Republic and in England. It composes and contrasts in tax laws in both countries. In the Czech Republic all land and building are under only one law, while in England everything is under two laws. All depends on the purpose of usage of the land. If the building and adjacent land is used for living, it must be regulate by the Council tax, if it's used for business purposes, it must be regulate by Business Rates. Consequently my paper investigates, how English land laws relate to the real estate, from the perspective of fulfillment of taxes' principles. It also discusses the possibility of these legal regulations being implemented in the Czech Republic
