Modification of crossing II/377 and III/37360 near Rájec Jestřebí
Bažant, Petr ; Coufalíková, Iva (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
Adaptation of level crossing of road II/377 and III/37360 near Rájec-Jestřebí in the South Moravian region is solved in bachelor´s thesis. The level crossing is a special cover crossing in the shape of the letter K with two-lane rous, not directionally dividend. The major road consists II/377, secondary III/37360 and local road leads to village Holešín ( part of the town Rájec-Jestřěbí ). It is not a place with many travel accidents, that was affirmed by Czech Republic police, but it is a crossing with very confused arrangement and directions of the main and secondary rouds and mainly insufficient vertical arrangement. The outputs of road traffic survey made of the purpose of the thesis, examination of outlooks and the proposal improvement of clarity with the construction the eliptic roundabout.
Traffic modelling in motorway closures
Novák, Martin ; Ščerba, Marek (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to increase the fluency of expressway traffic during temporary restrictions. Traffic data obtained from radars were analyzed using a microsimulation model in the software S-Paramics. The result is a process, calibrate and validate the model of the current situation, the design and evaluation of models of mobile dynamic traffic control (in terms of average speeds and travel times) and the experiences with the use of software S-Paramics. The work also includes the study of usability mobile dynamic traffic control on Czech expressways.
Bypass Bučovice
Guráň, Pavel ; Apeltauer, Jiří (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis investigates the possible construction of the road I/50 in the city of Bučovice. It respects the environment and life in the city. In particular, the proposed bypass will conduct the transit traffic out of the city center. The reason for the bypass construction is to increase safety in the city, and to reduce other negative effects. These negative effects are traffic intensity, noise, emissions and vibration from heavy-duty vehicles. There are three variants of the route planning. One of them is based on the local plan, and runs through the southern part of the city. The remaining variants run entirely away from the city. The multi-criteria evaluation and the comparison of the solved options is available as well.
Bypass - Tetčice
Poulík, Zdeněk ; Všetečka, Martin (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is the design and explanation of the bypass of municipality Tetčice, located in South Moravia region, about 20 kilometers far away from Brno. The route starts on the road S II/394 from Ivančice, continues between Rosice and Tetčice and connects to crossing with the road S I/23. The route is designed as a road of category S 9,5/80, 3,2 kilometres long. The goal of this thesis is suggestion of the bypass according to ground plan and execution with endeavor – after minimization of costs and disruption of the enviroment. The main reason for the bypass is a very bad traffic situation and high traffic load in Tetčice.
Bypass - Rosice
Plucarová, Eva ; Všetečka, Martin (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The goal of the bachelor`s thesis is to design and rationalize a bypass of the road SI/23, which will divert transit traffic from Rosice. The town is situated approximately 25 kilometres west of Brno, in the South Moravian region. The assigned task is to work out a case study that deals with the routing and height solution of the bypass, which shall connect to the existing road SI/23 this way: in the west - between the village Zástávka and the town Rosice, in the east - in the area of the intersection with the road II/394. The route should be designed to make best possible use of the space reserve allotted in the local development plan and also to minimise the construction expenses as well as its environmental impact.
Reconstruction of road III/4348 Troubky - Vlkoš
Dočkal, Pavel ; Apeltauer, Jiří (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the reconstruction of road III/4348 Troubky – Vlkoš. The reason for reconstruction is to repair directional and vertical course of the road. The road will be safer in this part. Original parameters were determined and then 2 options of solution the reconstruction were designed.
Roundabout in Hodonín
Špačková, Eliška ; Apeltauer, Jiří (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is adjustment of design of intersection of streets Velkomoravská and bří Čapků in Hodonín. The current state does not fulfill traffic-safety parameters. The problem is technical state of bus stops, connection of bike lanes, turning left from the street bří Čapků and lenght of crossings.
Research on parking in surroundings of Civil Engineering Faculty
Strmiska, Tomáš ; Apeltauer, Jiří (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis explores stationary traffic in surroundings of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The research aims to discover impacts of a recent reconstruction and a simultaneous parking charge imposition of Veveří Parking Lot on drivers’ parking habits. The thesis is based on field surveys. Acquired data are used as background information for an analysis of parking spot day occupation and parking duration. Furthermore, the data measured at the parking lot are compared with data concerning other parking possibilities in the given area. Finally, a concept suggesting an optimal usage of parking areas is presented.
Reconstruction of residential zone in Morkovice
Kubová, Simona ; Všetečka, Martin (referee) ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)

Non-traditional traffic engineering measurment methods
Martínek, Jakub ; Holcner, Petr (advisor)
This thesis aims to researching usage of IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) in traffic engineering. First part focuses on description, production and general usage of IMUs. Second part of the thesis describes possible usage of IMUs in traffic engineering: a) Evaluation of parameters and condition of roads b) Impact of parameters of roads on vehicle and people Main focus of the third part is on processing, achieving and evaluating data of experimental measurements, I have done personally. Those are: • settlement of IMU • starting the vehicle • direct drive • slanting slope from a residential zone • long speed bump
