Vliv chemické meliorace na půdní prostředí v kořenové zóně smrku ztepilého v oblasti Nízkého Jeseníku
Hošek, Michal
The influence of applied fertilizers on the selected pedochemical characteristics in the root zone of Norway spruce (Picea Abies /L./ Karsten) were observed in the selected natural forest region (NFR 29). Two research areas were established, divided to single plots and they were consisted of young stand of Norway spruce. On each plot, the application of powdered fertilizer from the Silvamix, Silvamix R + stimulator a Silvamix A series, was used. The soil samples from the root zone of the spruce were collected regularly. The influence of the fertilizers on the pedochemical characteristics was monitored for two years. From the measurement results is observed, that applied fertilizers affect the soil environment and when properly applied, they can positively influence the pedochemical factors. The effect of the fertilizer is also limited by single ecological site conditions. The biggest influence was observed in the fertilizer Silvamix R + stimulator, which varies the most from the control plot.
Contamination of floodplain of the Ploucnice by heavy metals: relation to its architecture
Hošek, Michal ; Goliáš, Viktor (advisor) ; Kříbek, Bohdan (referee)
Summary: This thesis is focused on mapping of contaminants released into the environment probably due to uranium mining. These chemical contaminants are used to reconstruct the sedimentary processes. The aim of the thesis was both the geochemical assessment of the situation in the catchment area of the Ploucnice River in Boreček using the flood sediments from the research points as sedimentary archives pollution for last decades. With depth profiles, gamma wire log, XRF and enrichment factors (LEF), we have tried to perform chemostratigraphic correlation of the sediments. As target elements U, Ba, Zn and Ni were chosen, whose concentrations are related to the grain size of the sediment. Furthermore, the theory of secondary pollution is developed.
Contamination of foodplain of the Ploučnice river by heavy metals: relation to its architecture
In the thesis we evaluate geochemical situation in the catchment area in the locality Borecek (part of the municipality Ralsko) using the overbank sediments as sedimentary archives of pollution during the last decades by elements U, Ba, Zn, Ni and 226 Ra. A map of aerial survey of gamma activity was used to select the area of interest, for more accurate localisation we used a surface gamma spectrometry. On Borecek we retrieved ten depth profiles of alluvial sediments (up to 230 cm) and one in Mimon, all samples were subjected to X-ray fluorescence spectral analysis (XRF), across the floodplain we performed gamma wire logs. For interpretations of floodplains architecture electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) was used and selected profiles were analysed for the activity of 226 Ra and 210 Pb. Interrelation of 226 Ra and Ba proved that radiobarite is the main source of the gamma activity. 210 Pb / 226 Ra ratio was used as sediment age indicator. With enrichment factor (LEF), we performed chemostratigraphic correlation of the sediments, for that the concentration of the target elements is corrected for varying...
Barriers preventing the leachate mobility from MSW landfills
Hošek, Michal ; Ettler, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Šebek, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis summarizes the current knowledge on precautions releted to the leachate migration outside the municipal solid waste (MSW) landfill. It is mainly focused on the characteristics of the engineered barriers, consisting of functional layers and providing better protection of the environment in the vicinity of the landfill with respekt to leached pollutants. These barriers, supported by natural geological barrier in the ground, are typically forming a sandwich construction. Materials called geonets are used for the bottom lining functioning primarily as a drainage layer. They are characterized by their low compressibility tunder conditions of overpressure of waste deposited above. Geomembranes with chemical and mechanical stability serve as barriers against leachates and other emissions. Natural clays are also used due to their sorption capacity, however their application depends on their exact mineralogical composition. Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) have permeability at least 4.5 × 10-11 m.s-1 and serve as a protective layer against contamination of groundwater, but also protect the lining in the layers below. To increase the efficiency of this layered system, a drainage layer is commonly added, which also helps to minimize the pressure effects of landfill leachate on the...
Efekt aplikace minerálních hnojiv a organominerálního stimulačního přípravku na výživu, vývoj a odrůstání smrkových monokultur v PLO 29 - Nízký Jeseník
Hošek, Michal
In selected natural forest areas, was observed the effect of fertilizers on nutrition and re-growth of Norway spruce (Picea Abies). There were established two research areas with secured cultures of Norway spruce. The plots were divided into individual fertilizery parcels. Then on the individual variations were applied fertilizer powder series Silvamix (Silvamix R + stimulator Silvamix A) and organomineral product Vermaktiv stimulus. Influence of fertilizers was evaluated one year after the application. The samples were colected periodically (once year) and the morphological parameters (height, thickness) also. It was observed from the results that the application of fertilizers can affect nutrition and re-growth of Norway spruce cultures. However the effect of fertilizers varies depending on ecological conditions of the station.Top influencing fertilizers were Silvamix R + stimulator and Silvamix A.
