Thesis "The building of political image - Karel Schwarzenberg" deals with the issue of creating a political image using a specific example of a Czech politician. Karel Schwarzenberg is currently one of the most popular politicians and his party TOP 09 achieved excellent results in the elections to the Chamber of Deputies, Senate and local councils. The thesis deals with the process of building of his political position and uses his example to show how to create and edit the political image in the eyes of public. The aim of this paper is to describe the evolving of political image, what tools can be used to its improvement and explores the factors that influence the popularity of politicians. The theoretical part presents the various aspects of political image creation using different aspects such as an aspect of political marketing, political psychology and the role of media in image building. The study also describes the life of Karel Schwarzenberg and the influence of his life experiences on his political activities in the Czech Republic. The example of several selected campaigns describes the process of building his political image. The thesis "Political image of emerging politicians and media they use to build their image" examines the reationship of young aspiring politicians to the topic of political image. The main objective of this thesis is to examine the relationship of young aspiring politicians to political image and whether they are actively seeking to build their own political image. Young aspiring politicians are defined for purposes of this thesis as members of youth political organizations Young Social Democrats and Young Conservatives over 18 years old. The first part of this thesis summarizes theoretical findings on the issue of political image in terms of political marketing and political communication and defines political youth organizations and describes their function in relation to society and political parties. The second part of this thesis examines the relationship of young aspiring politicians to political image through qualitative research using semi-structured interviews as research tool.

Post-colonial adaptations of Shakespeare's plays

This thesis deals with the analyses of three adaptations of Shakespeare's plays in postcolonial countries like Canada, Trinidad and Tobago and Republic of South Africa. Three plays are examined in historical and cultural context of colonial and post-colonial theatre of the countries mentioned above. The first chapter of the thesis familiarizes the reader with problems of colonialism and its cultural effects. The aim of the thesis is to point out to the way, in which the authors of the adaptations treat the works of William Shakespeare, the leading playwright of mother imperium - Great Britain, and simultaneously emphasize unusual position of the adaptations in the framework of their cultural surrounding and in the framework of post-colonial drama.

Food Waste in the United States as an Issue of Federal Public Policy Making

The Master's thesis "Food Waste in the United States as an Issue of Federal Public Policy Making" analyzes the role of the federal government in dealing with food waste. It mainly focuses on federal legislation, but it also examines actions on the state level to illustrate the contrast between the two. In the thesis, the author examines the causes and sources of food waste, federal jurisdiction for intervention, and the history of passed legislation, as well as proposed legislation, and solutions. The main goal of the thesis is to demonstrate that federal involvement is fundamental in achieving any significant change, but so far has failed to do so. Primary literature consisting largely of bills, materials published by federal agencies, and reports by non-profit organizations were used to uncover the character of passed legislation. Academic secondary literature in the form of articles, reports, and factsheets offered context to understand the scope and impacts of the legislation. Analysis of those sources revealed federal authority to deal with the issue, as well as possible obstacles standing in the way of an extensive federal intervention. Use of virtual reality to evaluate dynamic postural stability in beachvoleyball players

Title: Use of virtual reality to evaluate the dynamic postural stability in beachvoleyball players Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate if the dynamic postural stability of trained beachvoleyball players is affected by training. Also I tried to evaluate, if the final score of equilibrium will be higher, than in regular population. For testing was also used virtual reality to stimulate vestibular apparatus. Virtual reality was used as a disturbing element. NeuroCom Smart Equi Test was used as an evaluation factor of dynamic postural stbility. Methods: The research involved a total of 20 females - 10 beachvoleyball players and 10 healthy persons performing activities of daily living. We investigated dynamic postural stability on device called NeuroCom Smart Equi Test. For evaluation of dynamic postural stability was used Head Shake Test - Sensory Organisation Test. This test was taken twice, second time after intervetion by virtual reality. Data were analyzed by statistical t-test method. Result: Statisticly significant result was found only in the case of a Sensory Organisation Test condiition 5 and 6 in comparison between both groups and Head Shake test-SOT2 in latero- lateral movement of the head at the controle group.
