Petr Chaadaev's reflection about Russian's destinies through the example of his first philosophical letter, Russian Empire, history

In this following work we will look into the views of the great Russian thinker of the first part of XIX century, Petr YakovlevichChaadaev on the destiny of Russia and its connection to the general European development. The research is happening with connection to historical events and social ideals, that were typical for this particular epoch, also using the biographical facts and authors literary work. Particular attention is being paid to : The Westernizer movement, The Slavophiles, The Masonic order, The Patriotic War of 1812 and the Revolt of the Decembrists. Chaadaev's thoughts are being analyzed on the example of the First Philosophic Letter. The author of this work is trying to establish whether the thoughts and writings of philosopher Chaadaev about historical development and the mission of the big Eurasian State that are being addressed to the future generations are still relevant.
Joseph Brodsky and the Czech Republic

The thesis follows the emergence of Joseph Brodsky`s work in the Czech Republic, it comments on the very first publications. The author enumerates and describes all of the Czech translations: poetic and prosaic (essays, dramas and dialogues) . Present work proposes very detailed analysis of translated poetry (translations were made by different authors from 1960`s till nowadays), characterizes stylistic approaches, methods of translation and provides comparison. The author gives information about Saint-Petersburg`s meetings of Joseph Brodsky and Václav Daněk - Czech poet and his further translator. On the basis of interviews, dialogues and memoires of the contemporaries the work illustrates poet`s attitude to famous people of Czech culture; it also mentions poetic translations of Joseph Brodsky made from Czech language. The work demonstrates Brodsky`s opinion on the creation of good translation. Also the author presents a number of Czech articles devoted to Josepf Brodsky and his work.
Selected writings by N. M. Karamzin and K. H. Mácha in comparison

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the comparison of the selected works by N. M. Karamzin and K. H. Mácha. The aim of work is to find out the way how the literature used to develop throughout classicism to the climax of preromanticism and turn to realism in different historical circumstances. The theoretical part is dedicated to the characteristics of European historic and literal approach of the second half of the XIIX and the beginning of XIX centrury. The practical part analyses key motives and symbols of Karamzin's novels Poor Lisa and Bornholm Island and Mácha's poem May and novel Marinka.
Childhood motiv in Marina Tzvetaeva's work

Abstract. The aim of the thesis is to research an image of a child as a small human being and an image of childhood as a condition of a human soul in the literarily works of a celebrated Russian poetess Marina Tsvetaeva. The poems being researched are written in various periods of Tsvetaeva's literary career, in which she touches upon the subject of childhood. The work concentrates on comparative analyses of selected literature and it should be observed, that the object of the analysis is only a small fraction of lyric poems, which on the whole amount to more than a thousand. There is an attempt to follow the development and changes in the theme of children and childhood in the process of creative evolution and maturity of the poetess. Due to the fact, that thesis concentrates on pomes from different periods of poetess' life, the goal is to support hypothesis that the leitmotif of childhood was one of the most important in Tsvetaeva's creative outlook. Intercultural communication - sociocultural skills of students of Russian and English language at secondary schools

The diploma thesis deals with problems of intercultural commnunication, especially with its role in foreign language teaching (chiefly Russian and English language). It introduces the term commnunicative skill as the fundamental goal of contemporary foreign language didactics because it represents the key skill which students of foreign language should acquire. In the first place it is focused on sociocultural skill which represents partial component of communicative skill. The practical part of the thesis is based on via questionaire survey and presents stereotypes and prejudice of students at secondary schools about nationalities whose languages they study. Individual on the verge of chaos in Dostoyevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov

The main aim of the Bachelor thesis "An individual on the verge of chaos in Dostoyevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov" is to analyse an individual in search of one's identity in the chaotic world of the second half in the XIX century Russia. The good and the evil collide in the souls of the characters who feel lost in the world of sudden changes of moral certainties, various philosophical streams and influences which emerge. The introductory part of the thesis is focused on defining the contradictory period of the second half of the XIX century. Following that, the conception of chaos is defined and explored both from the perspective of the external chaos in the world as well as the internal one which in the works of Dostoyevsky manifests itself in the individual's intense suffering leading to a complete degradation of personality. The main part of the thesis concentrates on the analyses of different approaches by which the protagonists of the novel try to reach an internal harmony. The final chapter is dedicated to the youngest of the three brothers, Alexey, in whose faith and the unconditional love for his homeland and everyone around him, Dostoyevsky finds the firm ground for achieving true personal fulfilment and harmony.
Marina Tsvetaeva and Czech Literature Environment

TITLE: Marina Tsvetaeva and Czech Literature Environment ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with the Czech period of life of a Russian poet Marina Tsvetaeva (1892-1941), her relationships with the local cultural society and its members, and Czech influence on her works. This study identifies the main acquaintances that affected her life and art in a frame of Czech period (mainly Anna Teskova, Mark Slonim, Frantishek Kubka, etc.). This thesis also describes cultural and social context, in which Russian immigration of the 20th century lived. There are governmental aids, periodical publications that were supported by the immigrants, main unions and communities that both - Czech intelligence and Russian immigrants supported. This thesis also describes in detail the communication between Marina Tsvetaeva and Anna Teskova, even within the French period. The final conclusion shows that, despite Tsvetaeva's bright connection with Czech culture, lack of knowledge and reluctance to learn the Czech language limited her surrounding to either Russian immigrants or Czechs who spoke Russian. In spite of this constraint, Tsvetaeva was hugely supported by her close friends not only professionally, but also emotionally. This support lasted even after her immigration to France in 1925. TITLE: "Holiday" short story genre in A. P. Chekhov's writings SUMMARY: In its theoretical part, this thesis gives an overview of origination and progression of Christmas and Easter short poem genre on the background of Russian Orthodox culture. Main object of this work's practial part is characterization and description of progression of so- called "holiday" short story in the work of A. P. Čechov. Divided into seven thematic groups, short stories are by means of interpretation put into contrast against the Christmas and Easter short story prototype of the last third of 19th century. Using the original quotations of short stories texts the creative modifications of nowadays classical genre are explained: new narrative techniques, modern lyrical view of the world and last but not least the ideal of humanistic view of man.
