The grain market is part of the city center of Brno. The grain market is a square with a park that overlooks the Špilberk hill. However, Údolní Street, as a connecting link between the center and the Grain Market, has several shortcomings. One of the key ones is the gap between the Ombudsman's office and the public transport stop. There is currently an unsuitable car park and several dilapidated houses on this gap. These houses are slowly being demolished due to their poor technical condition. An undeveloped gap in the Grain Market is a long-term problem that needs to be addressed. It is currently the property of the South Moravian Region. According to information, he does not currently intend to address this issue in the near future. In the future, he is interested in stopping it. This plan is in sight, but when it occurs, the City of Brno, which is interested in the plot, will also take part in this project. The building for the office of the South Moravian Region, or rather its branch, will be installed in the gap. The current headquarters does not have sufficient capacity and it completely lacks any conference center or place where unions could expand and add to more sections. The proposal and the overall idea to choose a branch of the regional office were created in consultation with the regional office. In the future, it is not expected that the current unions will disappear, but rather that sub-committees may begin to be selected and formed, thus creating the right to additional office space. The proposal also takes into account the space for catering for employees and the public. The idea of transparency allows the interconnection of individual structures. The bachelor's thesis will test knowledge in the areas of design of urban public spaces, office buildings, buildings for temporary housing, interior design and technical design of the building.

The origin of specific phobia from spiders: Neurophysiological mechanisms vs. testing the assumptions of evolutionary theories explaining the origin of specific phobia from spiders

Spider phobia is one of the most frequent specific animal phobias in the population. There are two key emotions in the origin of spider phobia: fear and disgust. Several theories of spider phobia origin were proposed and so the results and interpretations of these studies, which test prerequisites of these particular theories often vary. Studies focusing on psychophysiological measurements such as changes in heart activity or skin resistance, show differences in emotion intensity in phobics compared to non-phobics. The second group of studies concerning the analysis of proximate mechanisms attempts to uncover the brain activity during phobic stimulation. These studies mostly agree on the coordination of the cognitive control network and the fear-network with the key role of the amygdala and insula in the phobic reaction. Other studies which test prerequisites of evolutionary theories examine e.g. heritability of specific phobias, speed of spider detection or easier learning and extinction of fear of spiders. The aim of this bachelor thesis is focused on the results of studies uncovering the proximate neurophysiological and psychophysiological mechanisms of specific spider phobia and to discuss these results in relation to the paradigm of evolutionary theories about the origin of this phobia. Hladíková, T. Current approach of big companies in the Czech Republic to corporate philanthropy. Bachelor thesis. Brno: MUAF, 2015 The topic of this thesis is corporate philanthropy -- the support provided to selected subjects by corporations. The initial, theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the corporate philanthropy itself, to the related corporate donations, their instruments and organisational measures. The second, practical part focuses on qualitative research, using a questionnaire embracing 35 questions, responded by 11 corporations. Various approaches of selected companies to corporate philanthropy were analysed and discussed, and their interconnections revealed.
