Pilgrimage to the myth of place and J.S. Machar
Basal metabolic rate, dietary intervention and nutrients producing nociceptive pain in individuals with spinal cord injury
Chaloupková, Eva ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Bartůňková, Staša (referee) ; Kálal, Jan (referee)
Title: Basal metabolism and nutritional intervention for people with spinal cord injuries Objectives: The main objective of this work was empirical research of case evaluation studies (n = 3), where we analyzed: the relationship between energy expenditure (basal metabolism) and energy intake for people diagnosed with spinal cord injury (SCI). The secondary objective was to determine whether the changes in macronutrient distribution and daily energy intake would result in a decrease in body weight and body fat for individual probands. The pilot study in our work was focused on the overview of variable basal metabolism (BM) values for people with SCI. Methods: In our work, we used the method of indirect calorimetry to measure BM and together with the value of working metabolism we determined in the nutritional intervention (n. i.) the ideal energy intake for our probands. We observed primarily measurable changes in the amount of fat and muscle tissue. Results: We have found that, in keeping with the prescribed n. i. rules, all probands achieved to reduce their body weight. The average body weight loss for probands was 0.29 ± 0.02 kg per week. BM values in our pilot study were 15 to 61% lower for our probands (n = 15) and did not correlate with the height of SCI. Key words: spinal cord injury (SCI),...
Kinesiophobia in patients on renal dialysis therapy - questionnaire study
Holečková, Kristýna ; Mahrová, Andrea (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Thesis title: Kinesiophobia in patients on renal dialysis therapy - questionnaire study. The aims of the thesis: To characterise the term kinesiophobia and to evaluate the dependence of the measure of fear of movement on sociodemographic and clinical variables with the use of the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia questionnaire (TSK-CZ) in a group of respondents on renal dialysis therapy and a group of healthy respondents. Methods: To determine the dependence of the measure of kinesiophobia on selected variables, the TSK-CZ questionnaire was used in Fresenius Medical Care dialysis centres across towns in the Czech Republic. The reference group of individuals with no renal disease - healthy respondents - was addressed by means of the Survio.cz website. The research comprised a group of respondents on renal dialysis therapy (n = 135) and a group of healthy respondents (n = 135). The collected data was processed using statistical methods - descriptive statistics and data analysis (t-test, Chi-squared test, ANOVA, Spearman's correlation coefficient). After that, the data was transferred to tables and charts and was evaluated. Results: On the basis of the TSK-CZ questionnaire, a significant difference in the measure of fear of movement was found between the respondents on renal dialysis and the healthy ones...
The rise heart rate in ski - mountaineering
Hepnar, Jan ; Vomáčko, Ladislav (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The rise heart rate in ski-mountaineering. Objectives: The main objective was to determine differences in heart rate of growth at different slopes and a constant increasing rate of ski-mountaineering trainer of this study, comparisons to the anaerobic threshold ski-mountaineerers and comparison of oxygen consumption. Methods: Seven ski-mountaineerers of different levels were testing in laboratory of ski-mountaineering simulator. We calculate of maximum oxygen consumption and anaerobic threshold. Results: The research results confirm the hypothesis that heart rate increases constantly during a gradual acceleration of the different gradients. Maximum oxygen consumption is higher on ski.mountaineerring trainer than this similar test on running and bicycle ergo meter. Keywords: ski-mountaineering, heart rate, oxygen consumption, ski-mountaineer trainer
The effect of sauna on the changes of blood pressure
Benko, Michal ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Heller, Jan (referee)
Title: The effect of sauna on the changes of blood pressure Objectives: The aim of this study was the measure of the physiological range (blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation) of two selected groups of people within the sauna cycle, assess changes and compare the results of individual probands and groups. Methods: This thesis is conducted as an experimental study. This is a quantitative method, in that will be at first established hypotheses and then evaluated on the basis of the obtained results. The independent variable in this research is the sauna and dependent variables are blood pressure, heart rate and blood oxygen saturation. Results: Blood pressure values were at employee of sauna lower than at other probands, thereby was confirmed hypothesis, but expected significant differences between the measured values of each group were absent. At the same time there was a further confirmation of the hypothesis concerning heart rate, which was increased at all probands. The last confirmed hypothesis related to the blood oxygen saturation and its reduce after the sauna. It could be said that all the defined hypotheses were confirmed. Keywords: sauna, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, cardiovascular system
History of Czech Biblical Translation 1620-1808
Heller, Jan ; Rejchrtová, Noemi (advisor) ; Dus, Jan (referee)
This graduation thesis provides an outline of Czech Biblical translation since the battle of Bílá hora (1620) till the second edition of the Bible of Pressburg. It explores the historical background of the translations and analyzes selected grammatical and lexical phenomena from the translatological point of view. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Influence of the sport load on the physical condition of the jumpers on the trampoline
Krenarová, Kateřina ; Heller, Jan (advisor) ; Novotná, Viléma (referee)
Title: Influence of sports load on the physical condition of trampoline gymnasts Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to assess the relationship between the sport load and functional and physical parameters of trampoline gymnasts. Methods: The thesis has the character of empirical research carried out in the form of observation. The research group consisted of 29 active trampoline gymnasts aged 9 to 17 (20 girls and 9 boys) participating in trampoline jumping competitions at national or international level. The body composition was analysed by Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA, Tanita MC - 980), functional parameters were tested via Bosco Vertical Jump test (BT) and kinesiological analysis of the athlete. Anamnestic data were collected as a part of kinesiological examination of the gymnasts. Results: Parameters of trampoline gymnasts were compared from the age point of view - probands were divided into age categories ZAC (10.7 ± 1.1 years) and JUN (14.9 ± 1.2 years) and from the gender point of view - parameters of girls and boys. The values of somatic parameters in JUN were higher than in ZAC; girls had a significantly higher proportion of body fat (d = 2.307) and a significantly lower proportion of Total Body Water (d = 2.222) than boys. JUN did significantly more work during BT (d = 2.059),...
