Possibilities of poetry in school on the example of the poetry by Jan Skácel
Marušák, Vít ; Králíková, Andrea (advisor) ; Heczková, Libuše (referee)
The thesis deals with didactic-methodical grasp of Jan Skácel's poetic work. The author of the thesis selects collections and poems so that they can functionally withstand the educational process as examples of the specifics of Skácel's poetic world. The thesis brings interpretations of selected poems and proposals for their didactic and methodical grasp. In this way a variety of methods and procedures are created that can be applied to work with lyric poetry in general. The thesis first elaborates both literary theoretical and branch didactic starting points which consider primarily from the point of view of usability and functionality in the educational process. Then it brings four didactic probes which apply these starting points to specific lyrical material. The author uses the theoretical concepts of lyric poetry by Jonathan Culler and Miroslav Červenka. These create a basic theoretical framework which is applied and thought at the didactic level. The didactic inspiration is the basic works from the didactics of literary education by Ladislava Lederbuchová, Zdeněk Kožmín, Vladimír Nezkusil and Ondřej Hník. These starting points will make it possible to think about the position and possibilities of lyrical poetry in school and to propose ways of grasping it. At the level of the interpretation...

Critical reflection of the feminist and gender-oriented approaches to literature
Malcová, Markéta ; Málek, Petr (advisor) ; Heczková, Libuše (referee)
The purpose of this master's thesis is a critical reflection of those strands of Literary Theory which were inspired by Feminism and Gender Studies (Feminist Criticism, Gender Criticism, Gay/Lesbian Studies, Postfeminism, or possibly other theoretically closely related strands such as Etnic and Postcolonial Studies). The work aims not only to summarize the philosophical and theoretical bases that these movements share but also to critically think about their ideological and methodological shortcomings and limits, as well as gaps and stereotypes, primarily from the point of view of Literary Theory. The main focus of this work will be on the Anglophone world not only because it can be considered the source of most of these theories but also because it is there that these movements have reached a stage at which it is necessary to evaluate and re-evaluate their basic presumptions and key questions: which philosophies and cultural influences stand behind these movements, what is their relationship to marxism and neomarxism, how and why they became as popular as they are today and how do they influence the thinking about literature on Western European and American universities itself, be it as an academic discipline on the one hand or as political activism on the other. Secondarily this work also...

Vitouš, Ladislav ; Heczková, Libuše (advisor) ; Málek, Petr (referee)
The presented thesis seeks to clarify Weiner's concept of the game as a specific experience of the world. The concept of the game is correlated to several related concepts, primarily to the artistic conception of the Le Grand Jeu and wider philosophical context, especially the Surrealist project. The aim of the work is not to assign Weiner's works to existing literary creations, orientations and tendencies (even its fragmented parts), but rather to define its uniqueness in contrast to them. It is not limited to one plane in the text, but takes into account all the poetic devices to reveal the author's concept of the game and the world in general. The subject of investigation is the author's last work Hra doopravdy. Keywords Richard Weiner Hra doopravdy Le Grand Jeu surrealism surrealist game
Metaphores of monster and mad woman as narrative strategy in women literature
České prostředí se těmto tématům věnuje s větší opatrností a v menší míře, přesto lze sledovat tradici využití těchto narativních strategií i v české literatuře psané ženami.
Feminism and Literary Criticism in Pavla Moudrá's Journalism
Słowik, Olga ; Heczková, Libuše (advisor) ; Merhaut, Luboš (referee)
The thesis concentrates on the literary and feminist articles of Pavla Moudrá, which she published in the journals Ženská revue, Ženské listy, Ženský obzor and Ženský svět. An important part of the diploma is a complete bibliography of her texts issued in these periodicals. The analysis concentrates then mainly on articles connected to literature and "the woman question". It describes the author's opinions in their relationship with the peace movement, animal welfare, the anti-alcoholic movement and spiritualism. In all of these areas, she was involved as a promoter of spiritual values, leading to the spiritual revival of mankind, and for this purpose she also subordinated her journalism. She tried to thematise particular social problems, indicative of the decline of human morality, as well as writing more general texts, more metaphorical and strongly inspired by the theosophical movement. It influenced the way she perceived literature: she valued mainly the author's intention, which should be able to offer a positive example for the reader. She considered a poet, meaning a writer and an artist in general, to be a creature standing close to God and having the ability to see more than the average person. Also, a woman was, according to Moudrá, close to God: this relationship was given by the...
