Newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Europe in connection with tourism

This bachelor´s thesis is focused on German and Russian UNESCO World Heritage Sites which have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004 and it concentrates primarily on their connection with tourism. The connection with tourism is evaluated via various attendance statistics, a transportation accessibility, an entrance fee, a type of promotion, a quality and a quantity of accompanying programs and services provided by the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Afterwards there is a comparison between a touristic attractiveness of the German UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a touristic attractiveness of the Russian UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the thesis. A processing and an evaluation of discovered data, statistics and of a method of the comparison between Germany and Russia enable to determine at the end of the thesis which of the inscribed World Heritage Sites in Germany and in Russia since 2004 show the biggest connection with tourism and whether Germany or Russia meets more potentials for tourism development from the point of view of the newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
European Capital of Culture project and its influence on tourism development in Pilsen and Pilsner region

The bachelor thesis focuses on European Capital of Culture (EcoC) project and its extent of influence on tourism development in Pilsen and Pilsner region. The first chapter looks into the ECoC project. The second chapter focuses on the application for ECoC project that Pilsen sent in 2010, cultural program in Pilsen in 2015, volunteering program and mobile application invented exclusively for Pilsen EcoC 2015. The third chapter studies the extent of success and the turnout in Pilsen and Pilsner region and the changes in numbers of visitors in 2012-2015. The last chapter covers personal evaluation of parts of the project and personal evaluation of the program in 2015. The obtained results lead to certain conclusions and outlines of possible development of culture and development of tourism in Pilsen and Pilsner region.
Newly declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Europe in relation to tourism

This bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation of the situation in the area of newly declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites from 2000 to 2010 in Spain and France and on the influence of this declaration on local tourism. Next aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate websites of selected World Heritage Sites and rewies from the point of view of visitors.
Representative of a Travel Agency

This bachelor thesis is focused on the specifications of a representative of a travel agency. Public awareness of individual functions and obligations connected to this profession is analysed in this document. The aim of this thesis is to profile ideal candidate for this work position. This was supported by the author´s practical experience and a survey which showed preferences of clients travelling with Czech travel agency. Czech travel agencies mainly carried out through questionnaire survey. This research shows that more than a half of Czech clients would not prioritize concrete sex or age even though a quarter of respondents would prefer on this position a young female representative. Created profile of an ideal candidate listed at the end of this document could be helpful to travel agencies during opened job offerings, this document should also contribute to better understanding of this work position especially according to proposed changes in official sources as well as in the academic articles. The main detection is an ignorance to technical terms in tourism by Czech clients. This bachelor thesis should clearly define work and its important terms, rights and obligations of a representative.
Cultural Tourism and Folklore Festivals

The thesis deals with the analysis of cultural tourism and folklore festivals. Its goal is to characterize cultural tourism and festivals and to evaluate their position in the Czech republic and Slovakia. One part of the thesis deals with the analysis of Folklore Festival Východná and International Folklore Festival Strážnice. In conclusion the SWOT analysis of folklore festivals is conducted, festivals are compared, and measures for the next development are suggested.
Impact of an Expo on the host destination

The aim of this thesis is to characterize a number of Expos that took place in recent years, and to analyze their impact on the host regions. Two World Expos and two International Specialized Expos will be analyzed. This thesis aims to describe the differences between these two categories and between individual exhibitions within the same category. When analyzing the impacts the greatest attention will be paid to the impacts associated with tourism. With reference to the analysis, it will be possible to say whether the Expos have importance nowadays.
European capital of culture Košice 2013 - impact on tourism

The diploma thesis studies impacts of receiving the European Capital of Culture 2013 title by the city of Košice. The thesis analyses positive and negative impacts on different fields, mainly impacts on tourism and cultural life in the city. Questionnaire aimed at valuation of the ECC Košice 2013 project is also a part of the thesis. Respondents evaluated their satisfaction, success and fulfilment of their expectations according to this project.
Consumers' attitudes in the Field of the Responsible Consumption

The thesis is focused on the stances of the consumers in the field of the sustainable consumption. The work is divided into two parts the theoretical and the practical one. In the theoretical part there is the emphasis put on the purchase behavior of the consumers, types of behavior and field of the sustainable consumption. In the practical part there is described a public questionnaire survey and data analysis. The focus of the study was to find out the current customers' behavior and their attitude to the sustainable consumption and to suggest possible working procedures for producers or traders on the basis of the survey of the consumer and purchase behavior. These procedures can be found in the conclusion of the thesis. The thesis is based on the study of scientific literature, primary data collection and their subsequent analysis by means of field survey, and on the proposed measures. The questionnaire survey has been made in the South-Bohemian Region and in Niederöstereich Austria as well.
The Cultural Evolution of the Czech Minority in Romanian Banat

The object of this thesis is to provide a complex synthesis of the current situation of the Czech minority in Banat, with focus on local culture and elements which it is effected by. The Czech minority in southern Romania has managed to maintain its nation identity, the Czech language itself and traditional folk culture for almost 200 years. The work maps the historical evolution of this community and reasons why it managed to maintain its tradition folk culture. It also reviews the current situation, focusing on the aid provided by the Czech Republic, expansion of tourism and its possible consequences. It presents current state of the local culture and evaluates its presentation and popularization. It also offers my own suggestions how to improve the presentation of the local culture and it considers the future of the community.
