Urban Study of conversion of Tomioka Silk Mill, Japan
Havlík, Jan ; Zemánek, Václav (referee) ; Zemánková, Helena (advisor)
The Tomioka Silk Mill, an extraordinary industrial heritage in the Prefecture of Gunma on the Honshu island, is waiting to be included to the List of Unesco (nowadays is only on the List Tentative). Former factory, documenting the integration of French technology and Japonese architecture, was realised on the principle of classical factory zoning. The conversion of the mill, aiming at multiple-municipal functions, is reflected in a new urbanistic conception of the area in the municipal context. The project proposes and checks functional zones for users and sightseeing routes for turists. The part of that is evaluating the potential of the mill objects, of the landscape of the mill and of the functional municipal relations.
Video Quality Monitoring Using NetFlow
Havlík, Jan ; Grégr, Matěj (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about creating new tools for a video transfer quality monitoring. It consists of a client-server architecture, where the client is gathering video quality statistics and passes those statistics to the server. The server updates relevant NetFlow IPFIX records with these statistics. The project includes video encoding, packet encapsulation and Internet protocols related to this topic. The architecture is written in a C language for a UNIX operating system.

The design and synthesis of selective copper(II) chelators
Havlík, Jan ; Kotek, Jan (advisor) ; Holzhauser, Petr (referee)
Title: Design and synthesis of selective copper(II) chelators Author: Jan Havlík Department: Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Science Supervisor: assoc. prof. RNDr. Jan Kotek, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: modrej@natur.cuni.cz The aim of this work was to prepare selective copper(II) chelators. Within the frame of this thesis were synthesized 13 compounds, from which 7 are new. All compounds were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Copper(II) complex of synthesized ligand 1,11-bis(methylphosphinic acid)cyclam, (1,11-dipin), was studied in thermodynamic and formation/decomplexation studies. For 1,11-dipin-copper(II) complex were determined values of rate constants and activation parameters. Keywords: selective chelator, copper, cyclam derivatives, macrocyclic ligands, methylphosphonate, methylphosphinate
The European Policy of French Institutions: Europeanisation of French Central Administration Since 1981
Havlík, Jan ; Perottino, Michel (advisor) ; Brüstlová, Markéta (referee)
This thesis analyses how European policies have been made in French central administration since 1981 when François Mitterrand became the president of France. It uses so called "europeisation" approach when institutions in EU countries adopt the way European Union works. Author shows how communication amongst different state organs and EU works and how the approach to European integration changes over time. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Design and synthesis of surface architectures on fluorescent nanodiamonds
Havlík, Jan
anks to their unique properties and high biocompatibilities, fluorescent nanodiamonds are promising representatives of modern carbon nanomaterials with a broad range of applications. Nevertheless, their wider use is limited because of weak fluorescence intensity and low colloidal stability in the biological environment. e optimization of treatment procedures and development of new suitable surface designs is therefore critically needed. In this study, several key steps for fluorescent nanodiamond treatment have been optimized, leading to both a substantial increase in fluorescence intensity and to significantly lower surface damage caused by graphitization. Further, a new high-throughput irradiation technique was developed. e influence of surface chemistry on the fluorescence parameters was studied using partial fluorination of the functional groups on the nanodiamond surface. A novel method which significantly affects the interaction of nanodiamonds with biological systems by increasing of the homogeneity and circularity was developed. e potential of nanodiamonds for future medical and biological research was demonstrated on particles with complex surface architectures that enabled targeting and therapy of tumor cells. Moreover, a strong and highly selective affinity of fibroblast growth factors to diamond...
Virtual reality as a tool for rehabilitation of patients with multiple sclerosis
Rodina, Lubomír ; Řasová, Kamila (advisor) ; Havlík, Jan (referee)
Introduction Virtual reality is able to simulate conditions, which would be very hard to imitate in common practise and therefore it brings much more complex perception (optical and auditory incentives), it has positive influence on psychical state and at the same time increases motivation. Commonly available games do not have the therapeutical effect and do not provide any feedback about performed move. Because of the reasons mentioned before, the objective of this thesis was to develop and also optimalize speacially designed physiotherapeutic feedback-providing program in virtual environment for a purpose of increasing functionality of upper limb, improving sitting balance and quality of getting up of patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). Method Prospective study has been realized by Clinic of rehabilitation medicine FNKV in Prague and Third Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in cooperation with Faculty of Applied Sciences at University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Development of the rehabilitative application began in May 2019, the testing took place from October 2019 to August 2020. Patients suffering from multiple sclerosis with upper limb disorder have been chosen based on advertising of the study in MS centers, ROSKA Union and via SMS in two waves (first and second cohort)....
