Havel, Daniel ; Pivoda, Radomír (advisor) ; Hlaváč, Jiří (referee) ; Válek, Jiří (referee)
This master´s thesis discusses works by György Ligeti and is focused on the works where the flute is a part of the ensemble in any way. There is a short biography and list of works with introducing composer´s compositional style in a time line view at the begining. Main chapters contain specified compositions which include flute, piccolo, contraalto or bass flute and with examples of theirs role in these compositions. There are vocal works as well in spite of the fact that flute is not so important as in the instrumental works. Some parts of musical score examples are given throughout this thesis. The first performances along with performers who took a part in these productions during Ligeti´s life are not forgotten as well.
