Spirometry data analysis software
Rovná, Tereza ; Štohanzlová, Petra (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the pulmonary function tests. The first part focuses on basic respiratory data, ventilation diseases and parameters of evaluation. The second part describes diagnostic methods in detail. These methods are used to obtain functional parameters of lung function, especially spirometry. The third part focuses on NI DAQ, spirometer´s probe, spirometer SPIROBANK, DT and spirometry data analysis software developed in LabVIEW 2013. The fourth part deals with comparison of results from my own spirometry data analysis software, spirometric probe and SPIROBANK DT.
Virtual instrument for experimental ultrasonic measurement
Dufek, Ladislav ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about usage the virtual instrument created in LabVIEW environment for measurement of ultrasonic transducers and for resulting signal scanning. It briefly describes the basics of ultra acoustic and the principles of piezoelectric transducers. Then problematic of generation and scanning signals using cards National Instruments NI-PCI 5401 and NI-PCI 5102 are explained. Subsequently an instrument is designed. This instrument is used for experimental measurement at 4 pcs engineering samples of ultrasound transducers, is painted the frequency response characteristic and determines frequency of resonance.
Automatic detection of spine axis in 3D CT data
Hříbková, Veronika ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Jakubíček, Roman (advisor)
The thesis deals with the topic of automatic detection of spine axis in 3D CT data. The theoretical part discusses the basic principles of image processing and focuses on issues of collection and processing of medical image data, particularly data from X-ray computed tomography. The entire chapter is devoted to the principle of the creation of 2D and 3D CT images. Then the article about the anatomy of the axial skeleton is elaborated focusing on the anatomy of the spine. The second part is devoted to the proposal and implementation of methods of segmentation of the spine using a simple thresholding and morphological operations to locate the initial position of the spine axis with the definition of the beginning and the end of the axis using cross-correlation with created binar masks. Subsequent refinement of the position of the spine is done by segmentation of the spinal canal using a region growing method, when the starting points, located inside the spinal canal, are acquired by finding the centre of gravity of a vertebra or by Hough transform.
Retinal image registration using phase correlation
Šikula, Viktor ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This master thesis deals with retinal image registration using phase correlation technique. There are described properties of retinal images and modality of scanning. A geometrical transformation encompasing scale, rotation and translation between two retinal images is considered and the whole registration framework is described. There are used retinal images from fundus camera and scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO). In this thesis is described corresponding bifurcations detection using phase correlation and registration using second-order polynomial transformation. The results are subjectively and objectively verificated.
ECG signal classification
Smělý, Tomáš ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Hrubeš, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with classification of different types of time courses of ECG signals. Main objective was to recognize the normal cycles and several forms of arrhythmia and to classify the exact types of them. Classification has been done with usage of algorithms of Neural Networks in Matlab program, with its add-on (Neural Network Toolbox). The result of this thesis is application, which makes possible to load an ECG signal, pre-process it and classify its each cycle into five classes. Percentage results of this classification are in the conclusion of this thesis.
Application of pupillometry during measurement of the defocused curve
Musilová, Kateřina ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design algorithm that will detect pupil from video. The theoretical knowledge necessary for proper pupil detection is also described in this master’s thesis. Detection is done on 24 videos that are converted to single images. The complete result the dependence of the pupil diameter on the used dioptre. The overall success rate of the algorithm is 88,13 %. The overall error is 11,87 %. For 17 out of 24 patients, it is confirmed that the greater the dioptre, the larger the pupil.
Comparison of pulse oximeters
Karafiátová, Pavla ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This work deals with the pulse oximetres. The thesis describes the methods of measuring oxygen in blood and basic parts of pulse oximeter. It follows introduction to light absorbancy based on Beer’s law and its usage in pulse oximetry. The thesis also describes different probes and its properties and also algorithms for signal processing. Measuring and evauating on tester SECULIFE and volunteers is part of this thesis.
Uninterruptible Power Supply
Mrázek, Petr ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The thesis deals with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and associated problems of backup power in case of unexpected outages of electricity. Start of work is dedicated to limitation of the electricity supplies, as well as their causes and consequences. Furthermore, brief history of UPS and subsequently distinguish between UPS’s architectures. There is also a description of the energy sources such as batteries, flywheels or fuel cells. Part of thesis describes security of electricity supply in health care facilities, including requirements for emergency power. The own design of UPS is described in the end.
LabView and biosignal analysis
Kutílek, Miloš ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of biological signals in LabView environment. Mainly it focuses on the analysis of ECG signals. The thesis also describes the theory of electrocardiogram and occupies by several programs which consider various approaches to digital filtering of ECG signals, programs for detection R wave by different ways and simple cardiology monitor.
Lighting LED module for contactless measurement of physiological parameters
Byrtus, David ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of the illumination LED module for contactless measurement of basic physiological parameters. Contactless methods is based on the fotopletysmografických methods. The acquisition parameters used video camera for monitoring body part of the patient. Designed lighting LED module is used to enhance the optical signal with respect to quantum efficiency of the camera used. The acquired video sequences are then programmatically processed, analyzed, and the result is an estimate of the measured parameter.
