Využití SITCOMŮ k rozvoji komunikační kompetence žáků
HANZAL, Jaroslav
The aim of this dissertation is to investigate to what extent the usage of sitcoms (meaning situational comedies) could contribute to the development of the communicative competence (CC) in learners of the English language (L2 learners). According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the communicative competence is divided into three parts: linguistic, sociolinguistic, and pragmatic. A sitcom is a type of comedy for which usually a limited number of characters deal with everyday situations and wit is based on their mutual communication. Therefore, it seems probable that the selection of appropriate scenes in English Language Teaching (ELT) may promote the development of CC. Apart from the evolution of linguistic competence, which entails mostly vocabulary, grammar, semantics, or pronunciation, working with an authentic discourse significantly stimulates sociolinguistic competence, focusing predominantly on the social interactions of interlocutors (superiority - subordination). Pragmatic competence is dealing with the ability to produce structured utterances that fulfill communication functions. The theoretic part of this dissertation is focused on the description of the communicative competence, the aims for teaching speaking according to Czech National Curriculum, and last but not least on introducing and analysing sitcoms. The practical part will involve short clips from sitcoms, which are appropriate to language proficiencies of L2 learners I am going to work with. The practical part contains lesson plans with activities aiming at the fullest possible development of the communicative competence. Each of the activities is examined with regards to the components of CC and the emphasis is placed upon sociolinguistic and pragmatic competencies.
Vliv sucha a ošetření semen studeným plazmatem na stavbu a funkci fotosyntetického aparátu brukve řepky olejky

In the period of global climate changes, the resistance of significant agricultural crops to drought has become from an economical point of view a very important topic. In order to achieve maximum productivity of agricultural crops, it is necessary to search for new technological approaches to enhance this resistance. Currently, one of the actual topics in this area is the possibility of seed treatment with cold plasma. The aim of this work is to reveal the degree of influence of cold-plasma treatment of seeds on the stress response of plants that had been grown under the influence of drought. The oilseed rape was chosen for this experiment intentionally because it remains a substantial agricultural crop with a huge variety of usage. The plants of rapeseed had been grown in fully-controlled conditions in a growth chamber. The selected photosynthetic characteristics had been checked in regular intervals and the stress response was evaluated on two variables: plants grown from seeds treated with cold plasma and plants grown from commonly used seeds. In total, three measurements of chlorophyll fluorescence and photosynthetic pigment content have been conducted. The first measurement in the beginning of development of the seedlings showed better drought resistance in nontreated seedlings but in the following second and third measurements it was vice versa: cold-plasma treated plants survived better in dry conditions. Results of the analysis of photosynthetic pigments suggest that the cold plasma treatment can obviously increase the resistance of seedlings of rape especially in conditions of long-term drought.
Budgets of Chosen Regions During Years 2003 and 2010
Hanzal, Jaroslav ; Maaytová, Alena (advisor) ; Daněk, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with budgets of regions and their connections to regional indicators. In the first part of the thesis there is described the fiscal federalism, fiscal decentralisation and general discussion about regions, their origin, funding and more. In the second part there are described chosen regions, which were used in the analysis. The main part of this thesis concerns the analysis of the relation between regional budget and chosen regional indicators by the usage of method of correlation coefficient.
