PDA for Information Distribution in Closed Networks
Maslaňák, Martin ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with creating client - server application. Client part of the application is created with a help of the Compact .NET framework and it is running on the mobile facility (PDA). Server part is written on .NET framework and it is running on the desktop computer. In the first part I characterize PDA facility, it's using and also I discuss communication between SQL Servers and PDA facilities. Next part describes .NET platform and advantages, which this platform provides. Also I tried to show differences between client - server architectures, because of understanding in my working. The last part of this work deals with implementation of the client - server application.
Navigation for Location Based Information Distribution
Ziegler, Zdeněk ; Kumpošt, Marek (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This master's project deals with location based systems and their application in information distribution. The work discuss kinds of getting actual location. Then it focuses on problems of developing applications and description of Microsoft technologies for mobile devices. Based on obtained theoretical information we present design, implementation and testing of our own location based system.
Rule-Driven Protocol Analyzer
Jurnečka, Peter ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
The master Thesis deals with an overview of issues necessary for design of custom network analyzer. Describes the existing solutions, provides the theoretical background needed for design of custom analyzer and describes the structure of implemented system. A separate part of the work is devoted to the specification of Metamodel used to modeling of communication protocols and compiler of models modeled with the Metamodel.
Random Number Generators for Cryptography
Matějíček, Jaroslav ; Henzl, Martin (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
The content of this thesis is the design and statistical tests of two di erent hardware random number generators. It also includes an overview of the sources of entropy, algorithms used to correct deviations from the normal distribution and the description of statistical tests.
Frame Generator Based on 802.11 Standard
Švanda, Pavel ; Hanáček, Petr (referee) ; Kačic, Matej (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and implementation of the generator frames used for information transfer in wireless networks. At the beginning of the thesis there is described the introduction to the issue of data transmission in wireless networks 802.11 and the analysis of existing tools. Then it is designed language for describing the structure of their own frames and designed their own tools. The work also deals with the subsequent implementation of the resulting tool. Finally the results of the test are mentioned.
Analysis of Entropy Levels in the Entropy Pool of Random Number Generator
Safe Cryptography Algorithms
Mahdal, Jakub ; Hanáček, Petr (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This thesis brings a reader an overview about historical and modern world of cryptographic methods, as well evaluates actual state of cryptographic algorithm progressions, which are used in applications nowadays. The aim of the work describes common symmetric, asymmetric encryption methods, cryptographic hash functions and as well pseudorandom number generators, authentication protocols and protocols for building VPNs. This document also shows the basics of the successful modern cryptanalysis and reveals algorithms that shouldn't be used and which algorithms are vulnerable. The reader will be also recommended an overview of cryptographic algorithms that are expected to stay safe in the future.
Encrypted File Systems
Hlavinka, Michal ; Nagy, Jan (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is about encrypted filesystems and is aimed mainly for Linux solutions. At first there is explained why is it necessary to encrypt your data at all. Next is written about pros and cons of encrypting methods such as whole disk encryption, partition encryption, container encryption and file encryption. After the introduction there are mentioned most common security issues which can help attacker to decrypt your data or modify them. Furthermore this thesis contains short description about the most often used encrypted filesystems. There is also small how-to for the most important encrypted filesystems available in Linux and comparison of their speed. Next part of this thesis contains dm-crypt and LUKS description. In the last chapter all information are concluded. There is also mentioned benefit of this work and possibilities, what can be done in future.
Configuration and Personalization of Contactless Smart Cards
Altamirano, Peter ; Barabas, Maroš (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor"s thesis considers problematics of contactless smart cards. It describes principles of communication, configuration and personalization of contactless smart cards. In the thesis is described proposals and implementation of system, which consists of application for configuration and personalization of contactless smart cards and application for authentication of persons entering the system. At the end of thesis is evaluated implemented solutions, are described further possibilities of development of the applications and in conclusion it evaluated thesis as whole.
USB Host with PIC Microcontrollers
Kučera, Pavel ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
The aim of master thesis is implementation of USB host in a microcontroller PIC. The thesis contains description of ways of peripherals to computer connections with detailed description of USB bus. There are also discussed several approaches in implementations USB host for embedded systems. A concept of layered USB host system is designed on the basis of analysis of the state of the art. Finally, the designed system is implemented in microcontroller. Resulting firmware of development kit is tested on real USB device.
