In theoretical part I focus on anatomy, lead and innervation of the median nerve, etiology, pathophysiology, classification of carpal tunnel syndrome according to clinical findings, diagnosis, treatment, complications and prevention of carpal tunnel syndrome. Noninvasive physiotherapy method of carpal tunnel syndrome include: physical therapy, mobilization and manipulation therapy, techniques on neurodynamic base, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation and kinesiotaping. The practical part contains two case reports. The first case study deals with the physical therapy treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome by conservative method. The second case study deals with the physical therapy treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome by operative method. The aim of this work is to determine and compare the effectiveness of treatment.

The special part summarizes the available information about whiplash injury (definition, incidention, mechanism of arise etc.) and refers to possible ways of therapy. It introduces the effects and ways of kinesiotape applications, it points to the possible indications and contraindications for this method. The practical part examines a set of 15 probands with a lower back pain. The aim was to evaluate whether a single application of kinesiotape could reduce pain in the lower back. The data was collected through questionnaires and kinesiological examination. The results were recorded for better clarity in graphs and tables.
