Criminal Warrant
Hrušková, Kateřina ; Říha, Jiří (advisor) ; Šámal, Pavel (referee)
70 Abstract This presented thesis deals with the subject of criminal warrant. Its goal is to analyse the current legal regulation of these provisions covered in Act No. 141/1961 Sb., Criminal Procedure Code, and to propose possible solutions for the individual contested parts, which would contribute to better and more effective application of this regulation in the future. The thesis contains five main chapters, which are further divided into individual subchapters. The first chapter describes the history of the criminal warrant on our territory from its first introduction into our legal system in 1929 to the present. The second chapter presents the criminal warrant in its current form in a broader context of the criminal procedure. It focuses on its relation with certain theoretical terms, which are typically connected to it, such as judicial decision, special type of proceedings, and diversion. The third chapter is dedicated to relations between the criminal warrant and the basic principles of criminal procedure, with the emphasis on those which are resicted or otherwise modified when criminal warrant is applied. Also mentioned is the case law of the European Court of Human Rights and its position on the criminal warrant in light of the right to a fair trial. The fourth chapter is then focused on the...
Methodology of collecting and preserving the design of Czechoslovak glass and costume jewellery 1948–1989
Nový, Petr ; Nováková, Kateřina Nora ; Hrušková, Kateřina ; Havlíčková, Dagmar
The methodology deals with the issue of collecting and preserving the design of Czechoslovak glass and costume jewellery from the period 1948–1989, specifically a wide range of manual and automatic commercial decorated and undecorated utilitarian glass and finished costume jewellery made of glass, metal, plastic and other materials, including prototypes. It does not include other branches of the glass industry and crafts (flat glass, packaging glass, laboratory glass, glass fibres, glass mosaics and stained glass, author's glass and author's jewellery). It provides information that will facilitate and at the same time improve the dating and description of products created in a defined period. It offers instructions for the systematization of qualified active collection, including information necessary for the appropriate care of collection items obtained in this way. The design of Czechoslovak glass and costume jewellery during the socialist period cannot be viewed in a competent manner and processed as a collection without knowledge of the essential organizational landmarks that accompanied the fields of glass and costume jewellery. These changes brought about the disappearance of old and the emergence of new brands or trademarks and are therefore important for orientation when trying to date objects, or they conditioned technological changes that are essential for describing the method of production. This information is therefore an integral part of the methodology, as well as comprehensive overview appendices.

Synthesis of novel cardioprotective iron chelators
Hrušková, Kateřina ; Vávrová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Roh, Jaroslav (referee)
Oxidative stress participates in patophysiology of many serious cardiovascular diseases. Free intracellular iron occurs as a catalyst of Haber-Weiss and Fenton reaction between superoxides and peroxides increasing the formation of highly toxic hydroxyl radicals, which cause cell damage. Iron chelators diminish the pool of free iron and thus become perspective agents in therapy of various diseases, e.g. anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity. Aroylhydrazones group, such as salicylaldehyde-isonicotinoylhydrazone (SIH), appear to be highly efficient chelators. Unfortunately, pharmacokinetic studies focused on these compounds revealed their low stability in plasma. Therefore, I synthesised a series of SIH analogs in order to increase their stability together with preserving the ability to chelate free intracellular iron and to define their structure-activity relationships. A basic hypothesis in design of the novel chelators was using substituted ketone instead of aldehyde, leading potentially to an enhanced stability of hydrazone bond. SIH Two different methods were used during the reactions, a conventional heating in an oil bath and heating in a microwave reactor. The latter caused a significant shortening of the reaction time. In vitro studies of novel compounds showed their higher stability in plasma,...
Prevention of Dyslexia in the Field of Kindergarten Education
Hrušková, Kateřina ; Seidlová Málková, Gabriela (advisor) ; Felcmanová, Lenka (referee)
This diploma final project deals with prevention of dyslexia in kindergarten. Teoretical part has three chapters. In the first part, there is a short survey of the development literacy and definition of foundations of literacy like phonemic awareness and letter knowledge. The second part describes the world of preschooler. There is a short characterization of development of child at this age. The last chapter in theoretical part is called Prevention of Dyslexia. Practical part is based on the questionnaire for teachers. The questionnaire was originally created for the purpose of the international longitudinal study ELDEL ("Establishing the Foundations of Literacy in European Languages"). The aim of this thesis is a bit different from the longitudinal study. The objective of this thesis lay in the description of the structure of teacher's practices in prevention of dyslexia, not just in literacy foundations development and find out, which activities teachers prefer. If they are inspired by czech tradition or if they know and prefer outland views of preventiv dyslexia.

Adolescents and advertising
HRUŠKOVÁ, Kateřina
The impact of the mass media is much more obvious nowadays. The mass media provide many information that takes a huge part in everyday lives of the whole society. There is especially a kind of advertising information that can be seen everywhere. The advertisement is one of the means which the brands take advantage of, especially for expressing the uniqueness of their products. Adolescence is a period of a man´s life when the same age group forms the identities of those people. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with the characteristic of advertisement and with the basis of brand and adolescence. I have derived this part from the analysis of expert literature or from the research of special books. The practical part is based on the qualitative sociological research which deals with the influence of some advertising information on the adolescents and deals with the impact of branded goods in the same age group. The data from the proper dialogues were elaborated according to the right methods of grounded the theory.
