Spiritual assessment in social work with minor mothers in a residential-educational institution

This work is focusing on spirituality of juvenile mothers of Roma ethnicity placed in institutional care. In part one the work defines the terms: spirituality, spiritual assessment and it's process, social work, social worker generally in the context of spiritual assessment. Further on it's focusing on the subject of the Roma culture, their traditions and specifics and alternative religiosity of the Roma ethnicity. The empiric part describes the characteristics of one particular facility delivering institutional care and the specifics of juvenile mothers admitted into this facility. It describes the individual young women's constructs of spirituality, the effort to understand and assess if in this context spirituality is beneficial or an obstacle in solving the young women's difficult life circumstances in collaboration with a social worker. The methods used in the research section are: document collection and analysis, interview, questioning and observation.
Family (Living) context of a minor Roma mother with institutional education

This Bachelor thesis Family background of a juvenile Roma mother with an institutional treatment discusses a topic of juvenile mothers in institutional facilities, institutional treatment, and dysfunctional families. The theoretical part generally deals with definitions of terms, issues of families and family's socialization, issues of problematic, dysfunctional, and clinical families. Marginally, the study covers a topic of facilities for institutional treatment. In the empirical part, the thesis aims to demonstrate a story of an underage mother with an ordered institutional treatment. It also describes inner insights to the families' backgrounds in which the juveniles have been becoming mothers. Furthermore, this part focuses on outlining how the underage girls cope with their new role of being mothers and illustrating institutional facilities which were given custodies of the juvenile mothers.
Waldorf School - the Strategy of Education of Mental Hygiene

This thesis deals with the question, what is the strategy of mental hygiene education at the Waldorf school. The aim was to find out how mental hygiene at the Waldorf school is educated and then compare this strategy with the strategy of mental hygiene education at the school of traditional education system. Another aim of this study was to show whether the correct strategy of mental hygiene education in elementary schools has some influence on the development of the child. The research was made using an analysis of the School Educational Programme for Elementary Education of the Waldorf School in České Budějovice and a questionnaire method. 28 parents of children attending the Waldorf primary school and 13 parents of children attending traditional primary school were involved in the investigation. Parents of both groups were asked the same questions regarding the issue of mental health education strategies in elementary schooling. The collected answers of the probands of both groups were mutually compared, evaluated and the results of the investigation were concluded and then confronted with the initial hypotheses. Research has found that the Waldorf educational system dedicates to mental health and mental hygiene of the child more space than a traditional approach of education realized on classical type of primary schools. Furthermore, it was found that the correct strategy of mental health education has a positive influence on the development of mental health of the child.
