Animal as a symbol Paradox of snake

This bachelor thesis focuses on the interpretation of the snake symbol in legends, myths and religions in the oveview of the world. The first part is focused on the interpretation of the term symbol and its use in this work. The second part is devoted to the zoological taxonomy of the snake and the subsequent taking of attributes from the living creature to its symbolic nature. The third part summarizes myths, legends, religious ideas. Japan, China, India, Europe, Egypt and America at a glance, followed by an evaluation of the observed attributes of the snake symbol. The fourth chapter is separately dedicated to the symbolism of the snake in the Old and the New Testaments. The fifth chapter summarizes several questions. Whether the Snake is an evil performer, whether the snake symbol has become a cultural constant and what role it has these days.
Traumatic injuries resulting from human interactions with horses

The present diploma thesis focuses on equine-related traumatic injuries. Such injuries occur due to a fall off the horseback and / or during handling or care for a horse. The primary reason for focusing on this specific type of injuries was an increasing incidence of equine- related injuries due to a growing interest in horse riding as a leisure and sports activity. The theoretical part is divided into several chapters devoted to types and mechanisms of equine-related traumatic injuries, injury prevention, and specific first aid after a fall off the horseback. Information sources for the thesis were identified in the Czech National Medical Library, with most information extracted from the MEDLINE database. Other sources included the Regional Medical Library, the library of the Institute of Agricultural Economics and Information, the regional library, and professional online resources. Methodology: The second part of the diploma thesis presents the results of a quantitative research and analysis of data extracted from medical records. The data were collected retrospectively for the years 2015 - 2017 in out-patient, standard in-patient and ICU units of a regional hospital. The bachelor work deals with the unemployment, that is very actual problem today. I tryed to deal with the basic important facts from the theoretical point of view; I needed that for the practical part of my work. One of the most important section of the final work was the research. It was made by interview with the unemployed people from the Prachatice region. Thanks to the questionnaire I learnt the group of workless. They let me know their personal feelings and their views on their problems. Thanks to them I was able to demonstrate the influence on the family situation, too.
