Dynamic approach to Educational and Psychological assessment and Intervation in Kindergarten.

Dynamic assessment constitutes an alternative diagnostic approach, focused on revelation of the tested person's learning potential, which is reached and observed via the emphasis on the process of the achievement. It aims at meaningful connection with the intervention that immediately makes use of diagnostic findings to support the development of an individual's abilities. This work summarizes essential information about the mentioned diagnostic trend - its characteristic, a definition compared to conventional ways of testing and historical development. It investigates some possibilities of its utilization, especially in the area of preschool diagnostic and education, and creates a basis for an instrument of the effective prevention of educational and behavioural difficulties during the first years of the school attendance.
Cognitive processing of a child with autism

The aim of this work is to describe cognitive processing of a child with autistic spectrum disorder, to pause on its mechanisms and causes. The first part of the work presents a theoretical background for following interpretation of the data acquired in the research. Firstly it briefly defines autistic spectrum disorders, cognitive functioning of individuals with the disorder and above all two main psychological theories of autism: Theory of Mind (S. B. Cohen) and Weak Central Coherence Theory (U. Frith). The second part of the work recounts a process of the research. Its focus lies in a long-lasting work with a girl with autistic spectrum disorder and a girl from intact population. The both girls went through standard theory of mind tests, reading exams aimed at apprehension and mathematic written exercises. Research data come mainly from following interviews with the girls and observation of their procedure of thinking. Gained data were confronted with the mentioned psychological theories of autism. Final analysis shows typical characteristics of cognitive processing of the particular child with autism: detail focusing, physical thinking and perseverance.
School Uniform with a view to Adolescent

Clothing is a very important part of an individual's identity. It helps a person highlight one's individuality and at the same time it connects one with other members of a certain social group. One of the clothing types is a uniform. It is psychologically very interesting in what way adolescents cope with, think about and deal with a situation when they have to wear a uniform, because at this time they feel a very strong need to differentiate and determine their personality also through the choice of their clothing. Thanks to the current public discussions and my study field, I decided to investigate this area of interest from a psychological point of view. I established four basic aims: a) identification of a historical development of uniforms, particularly school ones b) analysis of a function of school uniforms mentioned in discussions by adolescents c) investigation of identity aspects which appear during the group discussions of the school uniform topic d) determination of the differences among these aspects in monitored groups. Joseph Brodsky and the Czech Republic

The thesis follows the emergence of Joseph Brodsky`s work in the Czech Republic, it comments on the very first publications. The author enumerates and describes all of the Czech translations: poetic and prosaic (essays, dramas and dialogues) . Present work proposes very detailed analysis of translated poetry (translations were made by different authors from 1960`s till nowadays), characterizes stylistic approaches, methods of translation and provides comparison. The author gives information about Saint-Petersburg`s meetings of Joseph Brodsky and Václav Daněk - Czech poet and his further translator. On the basis of interviews, dialogues and memoires of the contemporaries the work illustrates poet`s attitude to famous people of Czech culture; it also mentions poetic translations of Joseph Brodsky made from Czech language. The work demonstrates Brodsky`s opinion on the creation of good translation. Also the author presents a number of Czech articles devoted to Josepf Brodsky and his work.
Influence of spirituality over death attitudes

Bc. Monika Pavelková ABSTRACT The aim of the paper is to study closely the influence of spirituality on attitude towards death among people who find themselves in a situation of proximity to death. Due to the fact that spirituality proves to be a significant factor influencing the process of accepting death, increasing attention is paid nowadays to the spiritual component of personality and to saturation of its spiritual needs. Spirituality is understood in a broader sense as relation towards sanctity of either a religious or an irreligious person. Another aspect is the means by which the person comes to terms with own spirituality, whether it is intrinsic and becomes the goal of the person's life-long endeavour, or it can be described as extrinsic because it does not permeate his or her everyday reality. Spiritual orientation of a person is projected into his or her values and goals, it determines the way towards the meaning of life, which exceeds the person proper. V. E. Frankl speaks about reaching the meaning of life through self- transcendence by way of realization of values of creation, experiences and attitudes. Self-Concept of intellectually talented pupils of different types of basic education

The aim of this work is to find out if and how the structure of Self-Concept of a specific pupil population - intellectually talented pupils of different types of basic education - differs. In the theoretic part, the terms of Self-Concept and Talent are explained; attention is paid to a present view of different aspects of Self-Concept of intellectually talented pupils. The empirical part consists of design of the research, analysis and interpretation of the data. For the purpose of this work, I defined talented pupils as successful participants in Biology and Geography Olympiads in the Central Bohemia region. These pupils were given a questionnaire with four free response questions. By analyzing their answers, I found out, for example, that self-discipline is a common personality trait in both groups, talented students of Secondary Grammar Schools are more motivated by their positive relationship to a certain curriculum, and that talented pupils of the primary schools emphasize their social position in their class collective. The data were then analyzed and interpreted according to the findings of the literature.
Collective responsibility in moral judgment of school age children

The issue of collective punishments is still relevant today. For example, if one child broke something and parents or teacher cannot find out who did it, what is the best to be done? Punish no one or all group, innocent including? According to the law of our society the innocent should not be punished but it is not relevant for school or family. On the contrary the collective punishment is common there. It is a matter of opinion and of course there are another circumstances in each particular guilt so it is difficult to say what kind of punishments is adequate and righteous which is not always the same thing. However what is the opinion of children themselves? And what does it tell us about their moral development? What is the school age children judgment of collective punishments and the collective responsibility? Jean Piaget asked these questions himself in his research of the collective responsibility in the moral judgment of school age children. Moral judgment of the younger school children

Anyone who has ever had the opportunity to observe small children when playing or learning something new or telling something and anyone who has ever had the op- portunity to talk to them must have noticed the children sometimes treat the reality around them in a strange way. These are the funny moments when one is surprised what children think and how they treat logic. As though small children lived in an odd world where the rules of logic are completely different. The famous Swiss psy- chologist noticed this peculiar children's thinking and described the intellectual egocentrism in children of preschool and early school age. Egocentrism does not affect only the children's logical thinking but also other aspects of children's think- ing and experience. This special "setting" of children's minds can be observed when the children are playing, in children's communication, in their drawings or in chil- dren's moral judgement. Conception of responsibility in school-aged children

This study is based on the research work on moral development written by J. Piaget. It is focused on a development of responsibility (on the child view on responsible behaviour in different age) and on an upbringing to responsibility. Study proceeds from structured interviews with children at the age of 4-13 years. There was used qualitative processing focused on an aspect of development. As a result of presented study there was found out the development of responsibility in three areas. Responsibility for rules develops from an obedience, through justice to equity. Responsibility for social environment develops from politeness to friends to politeness in general and from respecting the law of small groups to respecting the law of big groups. Responsibility for one own thinking develops from black-and-white views to reasoning in the context. Research next discusses the use of expiatory punishment and punishment by reciprocity in upbringing. This study is of benefit to closer view on the responsibility in it's own meaning. There is an inspiration for upbringing children to responsible behaviour. Results can also be a source for future studies in the area of moral development. School-age children - argumentation in their moral judgment

The thesis is based upon the theoretical foundations of the Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget. The theoretical part thoroughly introduces Piaget's theories in relation to the works of his follower Lawrence Kohlbeg and later critics. The theme of the thesis is a research of the moral judgment of school-age children, specifically, in relation to Piaget, mapping the transition from the argumentation of responsibilities of objective consequences to the argumentation of responsibilities of subjective intentions. A set of six pairs of moral stories has been used as the means of the research. The stories were told to 53 children and short interviews followed. A part of the stories came from Piaget, the other part consisted of newly-constructed stories featuring a very substantial material loss. The main object of the research was the possible coordination of viewpoints of objective and subjective responsibility in relation to the extreme material loss contained within the stories. The research also focused on the different ratios of answers based on objective and subjective responsibility in connection with the age of the child.
