Use of mobile technologies for personal goals achievement
Kytka, Igor ; Kulišťák, Petr (advisor) ; Höschlová, Eva (referee)
These master's thesis "Use of mobile technologies for personal goals achievement" deals with a comprehensive, multifaceted view of mobile applications designed to support physical acti- vity in the general population. The four main chapters are devoted to physical activity in relation to mental health, a detailed introduction to the Transtheoretical model of behavior change, the development of digital technologies and the issue of implementing theoretical concepts in mo- bile applications. The empirical part presents qualitative research, which deals with the intentions of the authors of selected mobile applications and analysis of the presence of psychological concepts of beha- vior change in these applications. The research goal was only partially achieved because it was not possible to get answers to the submitted questions from the addressed respondents. The analysis of mobile applications themselves using behavior change techniques shows the appli- cation of some processes of change. Keywords Behavior change, motivation, processes of change, mobile applications, digital technologies.
The effect of sociomapping based team coaching
Fabianová, Ivana ; Bahbouh, Radvan (advisor) ; Buriánek, Jiří (referee) ; Höschlová, Eva (referee)
(in English): This dissertation seeks to verify the impact of sociomapping-supported team coaching on team climate and performance. Sociomapping, created in the 1990s to visualize team communication, plays here a role simultaneously as the main diagnostic and intervention tool. The theoretical part focuses on the teams and psychological analysis of such team aspects as size, roles, composition and the formation and development of teamwork. Attention is further paid to team coaching and sociomapping-based intervention. One chapter analyzes the relevant team processes according to available concepts, with a subsequent analysis of team performance and climate as two teamwork outputs relevant to the study. Due to the specificity of team data analysis, the last chapter discusses teamwork analysis models. The empirical part presents a study of 103 respondents divided into and conducted on nine intervention and 12 control teams. The teams worked together on team projects for about three months. The intervention groups were supported by team coaching that involved sociomapping, while the control groups only attended meetings to discuss current work topics. The teams in both the control and intervention groups were sociomapped a total of three times, but only the intervention teams were presented with these...

The main methods used in this work are a shortened version of the Cloninger inventory of TCI-56 (Adan, Serra-Grabulosa, Caci, & Natale, 2009), the standardized sociomapping questions (Bahboub, 2011) and the resilience scale CD-RISC-25 (Connor & Davidson, 2003). Research showed a evidence base of a link between the temperament dimension of persistence and the communication question of knowledge of others (r = 0.405, p = 0.0016). The...
Validation study of the Questionnaire of Psychotic Experiences
Schinková, Kristýna ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Rodriguez Manchola, Mabel Virginia (referee)
Psychotic experiences occur across various diagnostic groups and also among healthy population, but current methods are usually suitable only for specific diagnoses. This thesis presents a new method - the Questionnaire for psychotic experiences (QPE), which is independent on the type of diagnosis. In the theoretical part different types of hallucinations and delusions will be presented, including little studied sensed presence. The appearance of those phenomena among various illnesses will be described, as well as among non-clinical population. We will present currently used methods that map psychotic experiences and we will compare them with QPE. At the end of this part the Questionnaire for psychotic experiences will be introduced together with current findings about the psychometric properties of its English version. The research part will focus on assessing reliability and validity of the Czech version of QPE. 146 participants with schizophrenia spectrum disorder and 147 healthy individuals took part in the study. The reliability of the questionnaire was examined using test-retest, interrater and internal consistency. Construct and criterion validity were assessed as well. We also tested the factor structure of the questionnaire and its sensitivity and specificity. The results show the...
The crucial variables influencing sunk cost fallacy
Kalous, Michael ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Vranka, Marek (referee)
The thesis examines the sunk cost effect and independent variables which affect it. In the first section, decision-making and decision-making theories are described. The theoretical part also includes the results of research conducted on the topic of sunk cost effect. At the end of the theoretical part selected decision-making theories are explored in context of the sunk cost effect illusion. The empirical part investigates the examination of the sunk cost effect in relation to responsibility for previous decisions. Furthermore, the relation of this effect to personality (Big Five) and time perspective is examined. To measure these two factors, NEO personality inventory and Zimbardo time perspective inventory were used. The results have proven an influence of sunk costs on preference to invest additional resources into the considered hypothetical project. In one model case, extraversion has been found to be a significant predictor of inclination to the sunk cost effect. Keywords: sunk cost effect, sunk cost fallacy, escalation of commitment, time perspective, Big Five

Cogn-tive styles, personality traits and their effect on the mental accouting are discussed in detail in the following sections, forming a theoreti-cal basis for the empirical part. In the latter, we design an experi-ment which could possibly enable scientific verification of some of the discussed theoretical aspects presented in the literature review part. Interindividual differences in emotion recognition
Chroustová, Eva ; Höschlová, Eva (advisor) ; Sedláček, Mojmír (referee)
The work deals with interindividual differences in emotion recognition, therefore it first introduces basic emotions, which is the concept used both by a number of studies and test methods looking into the ability to recognize emotions. Subsequently our attention focuses on emotion expressions, particularly the matter of their universality and function. The third chapter is devoted to emotion recognition itself, first to its importance and process and then to differences in this ability, which is the core of the work. What is known about it, however, is based on the traditional basic emotion method therefore the final chapter of the theoretical part aims at some difficulties of this method. The theoretical part is the basis for a design of the quantitative exploratory research whose aim is to look into the link between personality traits and the ability to recognize emotions. Keywords basic emotions, emotion recognition, interindividual difference

The experimental group attended six coaching sessions over six months, focusing on any topic related to their work life. The control group did not attend any coaching session. Both groups were tested at the beginning of the coaching program and afterwards. Respondents completed three questionnaires - General Self-Efficacy Scale, Gallup Q12 questionnaire for engagement and NEO five-factor personality inventory.
