6 ABSTRACT Thesis is considering man's personality and it's influence with sportsman's performance and carrier in paragliding sports. It investigates Sportsman's personality and characteristics of his interests as a permanent file of qualities gathered by questionary. Consequently it compares measured components affecting sport performance. The goal is to describe, analyze and compare effects of sportsman's personality over chosen competitive pilots from Czech Republic and their sport performance. Main method to complete the data is questionnaire for pilots of diverse level of performance. Title of dissertation: Interaction of sportsman's personality and his paragliding career. Objectives of dissertation: To state and compare interaction of sportsmen's personality and interests with his sport performance. Method: Quiestionnaire investigation Results: In paragliding sports sportsman's personality doesn't affect sportsman's performance. 4 The precis Title Basic skills training efficiency in paragliding Goals The goal of this thesis is to get the picture of a basic paragliding course in connection with acquiring required skills related to the control of a parachute, manipulation with a parachute, fulfilling predetermined tasks during the flight itself and to find out the learning progress of activities chosen in advance from the gained knowledge about the measured person, and consequently to try to find the factors which influence this learning progress. Method The thesis is compiled in the form of a qualitative research. For the collection of data we have chosen observation and standardized questionnaires NEO five factory personality inventory and POMS (Profile of Mood States). Results From the recorded data we have found out a different learning progress of individual groups created on the basis of a different extent of required activities. In the area of the emotional states development, it is possible to observe changing representation of measured factors in individual groups and a their different development during the course. Pathological gambling as a growing problem in our society

Title: Pathological gambling as a growing problem in our society. Objektiv of the work: The aim of the work is to give an overview of the current pathological gambling in the Czech Republic on winning machines. Further to clarify the extent to which pathological gambling concerns of women and to make comparison of gambling and development techniques the winning machines in the selected casino in the center of the capital Prague to 2006. Method: Research of available literature and media sources, the observation of pathological groups of players in the Psychiatric Hospital in Bohnice, selected casino in the center of Prague and interviews with staff from the casino. Results: The total number of players over a period of observation in 2009 was almost the same as in 2006. Eating Disorders and the Potential Risk to Visually Handicapped People

Název : Poruchy příimu potravv a riziko vzniku u osob se zrakovým postižením Eating disorders and the potentional risk to visually handicapped people Cíle práce: Cílem diplomové práce je zaměření pozornosti na problematiku poruch příjmu potravy u české populace, přesněji adolescentní mládeže, a následného zmapování jejího možného rizika vzniku jedním z typů tohoto onemocnění u minoritní skupiny středoškolské mládeže se zrakovým postižením. Metoda: Průzkum byl veden na vybraných pražských středních školách pro žáky se zrakovými vadami. Metoda průzkumného šetření byla provedena formou standardizovaného dotazníku, pomocí standardních škál (psychometrických testů). V první části šetření byl použit standardizovaný dotazník, ve kterém respondenti odpovídali na deset škálovacích otázek Ve druhé části šetření byl opět použit standardizovaný dotazník, který se sestával z dvaceti šesti škálovacích otázek. Součástí obou standardizovaných dotazníků byly přesné instrukce k vyplnění. Výsledky: Z první části průzkumného šetření vyplynulo, že 5,8% žen ze zrakovým postižením na středních školách spadá do kategorie silného rizika vzniku poruch příjmu potravy a u mužů se nenachází jediný dotázaný respondent. Z druhé části šetření bylo zjištěno, že s převyšujícím kritickým skórem 20 a signifikací zvýšeného rizika...
The Personality of Active Seniors Over 70 Years Old

Souhrn Název práce: Osobnost aktivních seniorů starších 70 let Title: Personality ofActive Seniors over 70years old Cíle práce: 1. Cílem mé diplomové práce bude zjistit, zda je vhodné vybraný pětifaktorový osobnostní inventář (NEO-FFI) využít k hodnocení pěti obecných dimenzí osobnosti vybrané skupiny respondentů. Ve své práci se budu snažit porovnat a statisticky zhodnotit výsledky jednotlivých škál výše uvedeného dotazníku mezi pohlavími. 2. Dalším cílem pak bude porovnání s hodnotami uváděnými pro populaci ve věku 22-75 let. Metodika: V diplomové práci bylo hodnoceno pět obecných dimenzí osobnosti vybrané skupiny respondentů. Z metod výzkumu byla použita varianta komparace a dotazníková metoda. Ke sběru dat byla použita dotazníková metoda. Využit byl mezinárodní standardizovaný dotazník NEO-FFI. Předmětem komparace bylo porovnání výsledků průměrů jednotlivých škál mezi skupinou mužů-seniorů a žen-seniorek, a dále srovnání s výsledky populace ve věku 22-75 let. Výsledky: Dle našich zpracování výsledků a statistického zhodnocení jednotlivých škál pětifaktorového osobnostního inventáře NEO-FFI lze konstatovat, že muži ve věku 22-75 let jsou více neurotičtější a otevřenější vůči zkušenosti než muži-senioři; muži-senioři jsou naopak více přívětivější a svědomitější než muži ve věku 22-75 let; škála extraverze...

Zones ofOptimal Functioning Questionnaire Supervisor: PhDr. Eva Tomešová, PhD Year of the defence: 2008 Abstract: The main aim of the present study was a translation of the Individua! Zones of Optimal Functioning questionnaire (IZOF), and an intercultural validation ofthe Czech version. The IZOF model is a reputable method in the field of sport psychology. This model stresses the importance of both pleasant and unpleasant emotions on an athlete's successful and unsuccessful performance pattems. The main purpose of IZOF is to describe, predict, better understand, and explain the dynamics of the emotion- performance relationship. The Czech version of IZOF was designed in cooperation with sportmen as translators, using results from qualitative research requesting atletes to describe emotions experienced prior to and during their performance (N = 156); existing emotion and affect scales in Czech (especially POMS and CSAI-II) were also analysed. The first Czech version of the IZOF questionnaire was analysed in a pilot study using protocol analysis and the final version was created with the cooperation of experts from the field ofsport psychology....
Painful States of Wrestlers

Cizojazyčné resumé: The graduation theses approaches problems of pain and pain conditions during the Greco-Roman wrestling, together with some factors which can this incurred pain accompany and/or influence. Main objective of this thesis is to explore how much and which way the pain influences an achievement of wrestlers in a match or in training, and how the pain is perceived by wrestler. Next ~etect which stand-point coaches have in the problems of pain of their wards, and how these access wrestlers themselves perceive. An important component will also be inquest of intension of pain, whereby the wrestler is obliged to scratch an important or ordinary match, and intension of pain when he/she stop to coach. No less important it will be some findings how often the wrestler run in a match with some ache and how often he/she finish the match with some ache. Iťs ascertained that accident rate of wrestlers is quite higher than accident rate of other sportsmen. This thesis should also identify body parts which are the most strained by combat sport. Kinesiotherapy and Healthy Nutrition Under Treatment of Overweight and Obesity

Method: Read up specialized publicat10ns and other mtormation sources ( internet, lectures, journals) concerning subject matter. After obtaining sufficiency of informations the theoretical part were created. Ihe practical part is set in on the basis of questionnaire survey, where were taking part 103 respondens (57 Czechs and 46 Germans) suttering from overweight and obesity. After this followed the creating of recording forms and tables, where were the results from questionnaire incribed. Obtaii:J.ed data were analysed and transfert;d tu diágrams.
