Problems of Listed Words in Czech Language Teaching

The diploma thesis is focused on problems of listed words in czech language teaching. The main aim of the thesis was to found the most effective method of listed words teaching in a third year of primary school. Theoretical part describes the position of listed words in Czech language and it search a pitfalls during the listed words teaching. The component of a teoretical part is also an analysis of Czech language textbooks for the third year of primary school. In the end of a theoretical part I was founding the other methods of listed words teaching which can be used in teaching. In practical part i was creating a materials for listed words teaching by selected teaching method (the method of word formation groups) and than i was verifying this method in a practical using. For the research investigation i selected qualitated method an action teaching research. With a group of six students i studyied by the method of word formation groups and than i compare them with rest of a class, which was teaching by traditional method of teaching. In conclusion of a diploma thesis i tested the both groups. In a final test i founded out, that the method of word formation groups is more effective than the tradiotional method. Pupils With Different Mother Tongue in a Czech School

The main goal of this diploma thesis entitled Pupils with Different Mother Tongue is evaluation of the set support measures created at FZŠ Trávníčkova. Moreover, the thesis aims to summarize the current requirements and needs of parents of pupils with different mother tongues. The theoretical part reviews reference literature on the topic, deals with terminology related to adaptation, and presents a summary of support measures at FZŠ Trávníčkova. It also includes a presentation of the school and the city district. The practical part is based on four research questions aimed at determining the satisfaction, degree and frequency of communication. Moreover, other needs of parents of pupils with various mother tongues and the degree of involvement of these parents in community activities of the school. The practical part is carried out by using several research methods - a questionnaire, interviews with parents or teachers and an analysis of school documents. In conclusion of this diploma thesis, the results of the research, recommendations for practise of this school and also suggestions for further research are summarized. Czech Language Teaching at Scioschools - a Case Study

This thesis focuses on the teaching of the Czech language at scioschools. The theoretical basis of Czech language didactics and the problematicsof alternative education are discussed in the first part, while the second part characterizes the individual scioschools in terms of their general concept and teaching of Czech language. The thesis is fomulated as a case study and is methodologically based on observation, interviews and document analysis. Its aim is to provide a partial insight into the practice of Czech language teaching at scioschools and to answer how and with what goal is Czech language taught. It analyses whether some innovative methods and forms of work reflecting the current topics of Czech language didactics are applied and whether is there are any unifying concepts of Czech language teaching. While this work provides insight into these issues it concludes that scioschools aim to lead the students to so-called study autonomy. Scioschools do not work with a unified concept of teaching. It find that the current Czech language teaching practice - forms of teaching, application of innovative methods or aims are heavily influenced by the personality, knowledge and experiences of the teacher - tutor. Pupils Foreigners in Czech Language Lessons at Primary School

This thesis deals with pupils foreigners in Czech language lessons at the first stage of primary school, specifically it focuses on pupils with Ukrainian mother tongue and on pupils with Vietnamese mother tongue. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the basic facts related to the education of pupils foreigners are described, including the most frequent mistakes which Ukrainians and Vietnamese make, regardless of their age group. The practical part is processed using qualitative research, which defines the research group of Ukrainian foreign pupils and the research group of Vietnamese pupils foreigners from the first stage of several primary schools. The most common mistakes in Czech made by members of each research group are analysed through continuous observation. These errors are further compared with the literature and also in between the two groups. The approach of the teachers to these two groups of pupils foreigners is also evaluated. Possibilities of Distance Teaching the Czech Language at Primary School

The diploma thesis is focused on the search for opportunities for distance learning of the Czech language at primary schools. The aim of the work is to deal in detail and find out how distance learning of the Czech language takes place at primary schools and what is the level of adoption of teaching among pupils who are learning a distance form of study. The work is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with a general treatise of primary education and education. It also briefly characterizes the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Then it analyzes distance education in detail, briefly defines communication tools and in the end summarizes the subject Czech language and its teaching. The practical part contains two research surveys, which are structured in detail. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used. In the first research survey, it finds out the effectiveness of Czech language distance education at selected primary schools in specific grades of primary school. It also characterizes the work of a teacher in online Czech language lessons. Problematics of Spelling Soft and Hard Consonants in Teaching

The diploma thesis Problematics of Spelling Soft and Hard Consents in Teaching deals with the given topic within the curriculum of the second year of primary school. The main aim of the thesis was to teach pupils the orthographic rules related to the topic and their application. Theoretical part describes the position of consonants in Czech language, the position of given topic in teaching and problematics of terminology. It also describes the psychomotor development of child. Further, in theoretical part is an analysis of interpretation and practice in Czech language textbooks for the second year of primary school. The subject of the practical part was to create and apply an alternative teaching method and to teach pupils to use soft and hard i/y after spellingly soft and hard consonants. The survey was conducted with pupils of the second year of primary school in the form of application of an alternative teaching method created on the basis of a synthesis of knowledge from the theoretical part. It was attended by 21 pupils for 22 teaching hours. Main testing was performed at the beginning and at the end, continuous testing took place in sections of the subject matter. Preconception of the Syntactic Relations of Coordination, Aposition and Dominance at Elementary School

The objective of the diploma thesis Preconception of the Syntactic Relations of Coordiantion, Aposition and Dominance at Elementary School is to discover whether pupils in the 5th , 6th and 7th grade of elementary school are able to distinguish syntactic relations. At first, the issue of the preconception is defined in the context of constructivist teaching concept, which works with the preconceptions actively. After that, the concept of syntactic relations is described in linguistic literature and textbooks, Framework Educational Programme, and methodological publications. A research tool which consists of special prepared exercises for the research purpose of this thesis was used to investigate the preconception of syntactic relations. The pupils did these exercises individually. By means of semi-structured dialogues it was investigated, how were the pupils thinking during the work. The dialogues were recorded, transcribed and analysed. The research sample comprised of 35 pupils from the 5th to 7th grade of a Prague elementary school. Phraseology at Primary School

The thesis focuses on primary school pupils, specifically on the pupils of the second educational period, whose knowledge and understanding of folk phrasal idioms are examined. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of important terms in the field of phraseology, such as the definition and characteristics of a phrasal idiom, its function, possible ways of phrasal idoms classification and various variants and updates of phrasal idioms. Furthermore, the thesis explores the influence of the social background, from which a pupil comes, on the knowledge of phrasal idioms. The thesis also addresses possible ways how a primary school can influence pupil's knowledge of folk phrasal idioms and understanding them. The practical part of the thesis includes the main survey, where the research method is quantitative. The survey is conducted through open-ended questionnaires. The total number of respondents, who participated in the main survey, is 301. Respondents attend both municipal schools, which are in Prague as well as in other cities, and smaller schools in villages. Intelectually gifted pupil in the basic school - development in Czech language classes

This theses focuses on intellectually talented pupils and from the narrower point of view on pupils of the Czech language at the second level of an elementary school. In the theoretical part, the author deals with a talent for the Czech language, definitions and concepts of a given issue, existing models, characteristics of gifted pupils and approaches of Czech schools towards the education of these pupils. This theses also focuses on linguistic intelligence and personality of teachers of gifted pupils. The aim is to reveal what are the experiences of the teachers of the Czech language with the gifted students and what differences are there between gifted individuals and ordinary students. For this solution is used a structured interview method. The next aim is to find out the attitudes of gifted pupils towards a taught subject. A semi-structured interview method is used to meet this aim. The final aim is to find differences between results of talented pupils and ordinary pupils in the subject of the Czech language. As an appropriate method was chosen a didactic test.
