Title: Use of rhythmic stimulation in physiotherapy in patients with acquired brain damage Abstract: The topic of the bachelor thesis is the use of rhythmic stimulation in physiotherapy in patients with acquired brain damage. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains 4 sections. The first section is entirely dedicated to the acquired brain damage. The second section describes the motor system and structures involved in its management. The third section summarizes information related to music therapy, neurological music therapy, rhythmical stimulation in neurological music therapy, music, rhythm and their influence on the human brain. In the last section, the Therapeutic Instrumental Music Performance is described in more details, the elements of which are further used in the practical part. The practical part is built on two case studies illustrating two female patients with an upper limb motor disorder caused by cerebral stroke. During the therapeutic sessions with the patients different elements of Therapeutic Instrumental Music Performance were applied. The Usage of Sensory Integration within Occupational Therapy in children with autism spectrum disorder

The thesis aims to describe the approach of sensory integration according to Jean Ayres and examine the possibilities for the usage in occupational therapy for children suffering from autism spectrum disorder. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the basic knowledge about sensory integration and occupational therapy related to autism spectrum disorder. The practical part tackles the terms of using sensory integration and therapeutic activities focused on particular sensory processing disorders of children with autism spectrum disorder. Sensory integration approach was developed by occupational therapist. Sensory integration approach defines three primary diagnostic groups of sensory processing disorders, provides evaluations and sensory integration activities. Grips training supported by an occupational therapist using music therapy techniques

The bachelor thesis called Grips Training supported by an occupational therapist using music therapy techniques is divided into two parts - the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part deals with an introduction to the occupational therapy and music therapy, the music therapy techniques and their use in occupational therapy, upper extremity (discusses its importance, types and stages of handles) and basic information to the central paresis. The practical part processed 2 case reports of patients with quadriplegia after spinal injuries and overview of therapies, including photographs. The evaluation was performed based on observation and orientation testing. The aim is to determine whether music therapy techniques can be used to train grips.

Occupational therapy intervention for children with Rett syndrome

This thesis deals to occupational therapy intervention for children with Rett syndrome. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe Rett syndrome and summary of occupational therapy interventions for girls with this disease. The thesis is divided into two parts. One is theoretical and the other is practical. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of Rett syndrome, its diagnosis, symptoms and 5 stages of the syndrome. The theoretical part describes the methods by which is possible to work with girls with Rett syndrome through the occupational therapy. The practical part contains two case studies of girls with this diagnosis. Elements of this theoretical methods and their interpretation were used in medical treatment of this girls. Practical knowledges show us that individual approach is important for the patient and so it is neccessary to use individually determined treatment plan. Michaela Zahrádka Köhlerová Title: Physical therapy led by a physiotherapist in patients with substance abuse disorder in the context of institutional treatment Abstract: Background: Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is a bio-psycho-social-spiritual problem, which is needed to be dealt comprehensively. Physical therapy is one of the appropriate additional therapies of SUD. Objectives: The aim of the theoretical part is to present current knowledge about the role of physiotherapy in institutional treatment of SUD. The main aim of the practical part is to apply a physical therapy (specifically aerobic activity in the form of jogging) in patients in SUD treatment. The partial aim of the practical part is to create a textual basis for educational materials intended for addicted patients, which would summarize fundamental information about jogging and exercise in common and would be a base for an autotherapy.
