Geldnerová, Lucie ; Raus, Pavel (advisor) ; Staňková, Dana (referee)
The topic of the thesis is mediation as an alternative method of dispute resolution and congregational conflicts. The purpose of the thesis is to evaluate how mediation can be used for resolution of congregational conflicts. The first part defines mediation, its principles, objectives, and describes the role of mediator and the mediation process. The second part deals with conflicts in church - describes common occasions that result in church conflicts and different intensities of congregational conflict, then the biblical view of conflict and some principles of conflict resolution in church. The third part answers the question what are the basic assumptions for using mediation to resolve congregational conflicts and what are the advantages and possible weaknesses of mediation in church. At the end two concrete examples of conflicts in Czech church are mentioned. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
