Switching benchtop power supply 0-30 V, 0-5 A
Galia, Jan ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and construction of switching mode power supply for lab application. Convertor is based on the forward topology with adjustable output voltage regulation from 0 to 30V and with maximal output current 5A. Antoher features of this power supply is adjustable current limiting function which can be set from 0 to 5A. For closed loop control was chose analogue cascade regulation. The contol part consists of operation amplifire TL072 and SG3525 contorl circuit.
Inverter for electric supercharger with GaN transistors
Galia, Jan ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design and realization of a functional sample power inverter for an electric compressor, which is used in hybrid cars. The electric compressor powered by the inverter is E-compressor by Garrett Advancing Motion. An inverter will be using modern High Electron Mobility Transistors which are based on gallium nitride (GaN). The purpose of this thesis is to find if GaN transistors can be used in E-boosting application.
Frequency measurement module with Xilinx FPGA
Galia, Jan ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing a frequency measurement module using a programmable logic device. There is also a list of data acquisition cards of several manufacturers. The selected method of direct period measuring is described here including the circuit design of the module. The work also contains a description of FPGA’s firmware and its commands. The PC programme and the measurement results are presented in the end.
Bus analyzer with Spartan 3
Galia, Jan ; Valach, Soběslav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with designing and realisation of a bus analyzer. The analyzer is programmed into Spartan-3AN XC3S50AN programmable logic device. The design includes a SRAM parallel memory and a graphical LCD display. Data output is realized through USB, microSD memory card and VGA. The thesis also describes the use of a software microprocessor PicoBlaze for the control of the LCD display and user interface. The last part deals with a test application using an 8-bit microcontroller connected to an alphanumeric display and a discussion over the results.
