Augustinová, Anna ; Frank Danielisová, Alžběta (advisor) ; Chytráček, Miloslav (referee)
This bachelor work deals with a hillfort on the Jezerský vrch (Jezera Hill) in Podštěly in Western Bohemia. The hillfort is dated by unnumerous ceramic relicts to the late Hallstatt- and early La Tene-period. The work also elaborates a documentation and brings an analysis of the ceramic material found in the clay pit nearby the brick factory in Podštěly, where the plain settlement was situated in the same period. But its surface was irretrievably removed during the exploatation of the clay for the brick factory in the 1960s. Then there is an overview of all localities dated to the late Hallstatt- and early La Tene-period and located to the basin of the Střela River, so that a man can imagine the former settlements in the discussed area. The second part of this treatise presents the possibilities and causes of the existence of the Podštěly-hillfort within this prospering region, where the gold mining took place. It also pays attention to the connection with a long-distance route, which could go through this area. In the end of this bachelor work there are introduced several ideas and possibilities concerning a prospective research in the future.
