Hlavička, Tomáš ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Kunc, Josef (referee)
10 Abstract This diploma work deals with analysis of spa in the city of Poděbrady, its development, state and it also shows possible trends of its future development. Concepts of destination lifecycle, sustainable capacity of tourism, concept of social attitudes - social respond to tourism and interaction between the locals and tourists, and theory of sustainable development of tourism have served as a theoretical framework of this work. Methodology of this work is based on questionnaire research conducted at three levels - among patients, among spa staff and among owners of individual accommodation facilities in Poděbrady. Out of three spa facilities only a company Lázně Poděbrady a.s. showed good will to participate, therefore the outcomes present in particular this spa. Patients on which the company Lázně Poděbrady, a.s. was preferably supposed to concentrate were identified as individual target groups. Further source of information were also moderated interviews with persons concerned in the city development, i.e. local authority, representatives of Lázně Poděbrady, a.s. or owners of individual hotels involved in the local inquiry. Also a review from available Czech and foreign literature and internet information served important source of information. The aim of this work is an effort to identify the...
The Recreational Utilisation of Czech Reservoirs with Focus on Lipno Reservoir , Mácha's Lake, Seč and Nové Mlýny
Frantál, Lukáš ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Holešinská, Andrea (referee)
This thesis deals with one of the traditional forms of tourism in the Czech Republic, which is recreation by the water reservoirs and ponds. These places are attractive not only for Czech tourists, but in recent years also for foreigners. The study judges the potencial of the Czech Republic for this kind of tourism, analyses preconditiones for its development in the neighbourhood of water reservoirs and points out the diversity of environment aspects that influence this development. Water reservoirs Lipno, Mácha Lake, Seč and Nové Mlýny were chosen as case studies. These studies were made through questionnaires and field surveys and these chosen localities are compared. The possibility of their future development is included. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Tourism and Terrorism
Nováková, Alena ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Vystoupil, Jiří (referee)
The main objective of this study is to describe the changes that tourism industry has made because of the terrorist activities around the world. Further to study impacts that terrorist attacks have had on tourism and try to find a possibility how to prevent and minimize the negative impacts of terrorism. The study method is bibliographic search of literature and internet sources. Egypt has been chosen as a case study because in this country there are big impacts of terrorism on tourism industry. The study higlights the main motivation factors that affect tourists when they choose their holiday destination. It indicates that tourism is highly resistant industry. Final part deals with crisis management, the possibility how to prevent crisis and how to reduce their impacts. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The transformation of a second housing in the protected landscape area of Český Kras.
Kinclová, Petra ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Vágner, Jiří (referee)
This diploma work deals with a second housing (cottage activities) development and transformation in the beginning of 21. century in the protected landscape area of Český Kras with an attention to Hlásná Třebaň municipality. The aim of this work is to analyse and to assess second housing, its recent status, changes and cottage using trends. This work tries to handle especially mutual effect of second housing and protected landscape area. It presents the second habitation as a phenomenon influencing the character of a landscape, its residential structure, architectonic site character, locality and objects. The second housing development in the surveyed area was described through the use of a special literature, questionnaire, terrain survey and through analysis of gathered data. This work further assess data available for this area and topic. This service area is formed by 37 municipalities which rank among the most significant and oldest recreation areas in the Czech republic. Second housing specificity was also analysed on the basis of questionnaire survey in the municipality of Hlásná Třebaň. The interrelation between second housing and protected landscape area of Český Kras is shaped mostly by suburban development and natural risks (especially floods and limestone mining). Český Kras is exposed to an...
Changes in Czech outgoing tourism after 1989
Martinec, Jan ; Fialová, Dana (referee) ; Vágner, Jiří (advisor)
Tourism is becoming a more and more important economic, sociologic and geographic phenomenon of today. It has become a very important sector of world economy in the last century. Its significance lies not only in satisfying the human needs, but also in development of industry and trade. Progression of tourism in the Czech Republic was slowed down by fourty years of communist totality, but in present it plays an important role in domestic economy. This theses is aimed at an assessment of progression of Czech outgoing tourism after 1989. Its objective is to identify main destinations of organised and individual tourists, to discover their travel habits, and - in case of clients of Czech touroperators - to detect the most important criteria which affect their package tour selection. Part of this theses is also an analysis of Czech outgoing tourism before 1989, which is focusing principally on passport and visas prescripts and on connections between political events and main destinations of domestic tourists. The theses is divided into two basic parts. The first part is theoretical and consist of the first three chapters: introduction and specification of aims and hypotheses, discussion with literature and methodology. The practical part of this theses deals with outgoing tourism in the Czech Republic....
Second Housing in the Svitavy Region
Šafránková, Tereza ; Fialová, Dana (advisor) ; Vágner, Jiří (referee)
4 ABSTRAKT SECOND HOUSING IN THE SVITAVY REGION This work deals with the second housing which is typical for countryside in the Czech Republic. This phenomena has been researched at the Department of Social Geography and Regional Development, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague since 90s. There were analysed many different areas in Czechia, some of them are exposed areas (neighbourhood of big cities), other areas are located in the periphery regions (mountainous region or internal periphery). This study attempts to contribute to the research of the second housing by the evaluating of the phenomena in the Svitavy region. This region is different from other regions - it is not located in neighbourhood of some big city but, on the other hand, it's not situated in the mountains. There were used a slightly modified standardized questionnaire for field research in the Svitavy region. The results were compared with results from the Strakonice region and the Jeseník region (the representatives of the periphery region) and with the Ústí nad Labem region and the Brno region (the representatives of the exposes areas). The data were compared with other Czech regions. It was find out that the Svitavy region has more common attributes with peripheral regions. It's the second youngest recreation area in...
Využití uhlíkových materiálů pro studium iontů kovů, kvantových teček a kov-vázajícího laktoferinu
Fialová, Dana
In the present thesis entitled "Utilization of carbon materials for the study of metal ions, quantum dots and lactoferrin binding metal", different forms of carbon for a specific application were used. Nanoforms of carbon, such as carbon nanotubes, reduced graphene oxide and expanded carbon were used for the isolation of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions. These materials are characterized by high surface area and ability to bind the heavy metal ions on its surface by either physical or chemical adsorption. The influence of the interaction time and the efficiency of adsorption and concentration capacity were studied for various sorbents. This work has been also focused on the electrochemical detection of quantum dots for labelling the influenza virus, and also to detection the presence of a metal-binding protein lactoferrin. Electrochemical detection of quantum dots and lactoferrin was performed using a glassy carbon electrode. Detection of silver ions on different carbon paste electrodes was another aim of this work and the obtained results were used to study the antimicrobial effect of encapsulated silver ions to the bacterial culture Staphylococcus aureus.
