Tomeš, Vítek ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee)
Status and role of public guards in environmental protection Abstract The thesis deals with the status of public guards within the legal system of the CZE and the role of public guards in environmental protection. The aim of this thesis is to provide a relatively comprehensive analysis of the current legal regulation of individual public guards operating in the relevant sections of environmental protection, and to make de lege ferenda proposals leading to the improvement of the effectiveness of public guards, based on the confrontation of the current legal regulation with the shortcomings that public guards face in the performance of their activities in practice. According to the current legislation, there are four types of public guards. Public guards are divided into hunting guards, fishing guards, forest guards and nature guards, which are further divided into wardens and correspondents. Furthermore, the public guards themselves can be either voluntary, who perform their duties on a voluntary and honest basis, i.e. in their own time and without remuneration, or professional, who perform their duties in the context of an employment relationship. As a point of interest, inspectors of the Czech Environmental Inspectorate are also forest guards. Only a natural person, not a legal person, may be appointed as...
The Impact of Metabolic Syndrome on the Expression of Inflammation and Cellular Damage Parameters in Relation to the Presence of Psoriasis
Holmannová, Drahomíra ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Pavel (referee) ; Kujovská Krčmová, Lenka (referee)
Metabolic syndrome is a chronic metabolic and systemic inflammatory disease that is associated with high morbidity and mortality. The increasing prevalence of metabolic syndrome highlights the need for a deeper understanding of the pathophysiological mechanisms and their interrelationship with common comorbidities, including psoriasis. By analysing changes in the levels of selected parameters of inflammation and cellular damage, the knowledge of the pathogenesis of the inflammatory process of both diseases and their combination can be expanded. The results may contribute to effective secondary prevention and primary care interventions and facilitate modification of therapies. Data for the doctoral thesis were obtained from three separate studies, for which a set of parameters reflecting metabolic status, inflammatory processes, and cell damage (oxidative DNA/RNA damage, calprotectin, angiopoietin-like protein 8 /ANGPTL8/, clusterin, elafin, chromosomal aberrations, CRP, and vitamin D) were selected. The studies included groups of people with metabolic syndrome, persons with psoriasis, persons with psoriasis and metabolic syndrome, and healthy subjects. A total of 248 subjects participated in the study in three studies (122, 85 and 41 subjects). Laboratory determination of parameters was performed by...
Sintering of parts produced by 3D FDM printing
Koníček, Jan ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of sintering of parts produced by 3D FDM printing. The main aim of the work is the design of a sample part and the selection of suitable materials for testing. Subsequently, an experiment is carried out, which involves printing samples from different materials on a 3D printer and sintering them in salt powder at different time intervals. This is followed by examination of the surface after sintering and weight changes due to material degradation. Then a tensile test is performed to show changes in tensile strength of the tested materials and as the last part of the experiment, fracture surfaces are examined under a microscope.
Machining of a component for an electric motor stator
Balajka, Radek ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a proposal for the production technology of a component for a stator of an electric motor using machining. First, an analysis of the manufactured component and the assembly unit was conducted. Subsequently, a comparison of semi-finished product manufacturing methods was performed, where laser cutting was chosen. The bachelor thesis includes the development of a technological procedure, including the selection of machines, a list of tools, and measuring instruments. Finally, a technical-economic evaluation was carried out, from which the time to produce one part and the cost of the series produced were derived.
Design of Technology and a Constructional Solution of a Device for Cutting of Magnetic Points with the Use of CAD/CAM Technologies
Kolomý, Adam ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor's thesis is the evaluation of the current state and the design of a new device for fitting magnetic points. In the theoretical part of the final thesis, expert knowledge of this issue was needed. Based on the synthesis of theoretical knowledge, evaluation, and assessment of problematic parts of contemporary equipment, a piece of new equipment was designed that works more efficiently and effectively. At the end of this work, both devices will be compared in terms of their performance and production cycle. The outcome of the investigation will be time-saving when using the newly constructed device.
Psoriasis and Its Comorbidities. Mutual Relationship of the Disease and the Process of Aging.
Borský, Pavel ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Müllerová, Dana (referee) ; Dlouhý, Pavel (referee)
Psoriasis vulgaris (psoriasis) is an autoimmune disease that primarily affects the skin. The pathogenesis of psoriasis involves a combination of genetic and epigenetic modifications with a significant influence of environmental factors. The disease is characterized by papulosquamous lesions with hyperproliferation of keratinocytes, angiogenesis and dysregulation of the normal immune response leading to chronic inflammation. Excessive activation of parts of the adaptive immune system is thought to be a central factor in the pathogenesis of psoriasis. More severe forms of psoriasis tend to be associated with other diseases (comorbidities). These include metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn's disease and psychiatric disorders or uveitis. Many of these comorbidities show a significant association with age (the biological process of human aging). Aging is a process of gradual decline in the body's abilities and functional capabilities. It is a universal process with a considerable degree of variability that is characteristic of all higher animals. Among the theories describing aging, the theory of accumulation of damage, which integrates the previously known mechanisms of aging, is currently dominant. The theory is based on the fact that during pathophysiological processes,...
Poaching from the point of view of criminal and misdemeanor law
Čech, Vojtěch ; Fiala, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Stejskal, Vojtěch (referee)
Poaching from the point of view of criminal and misdemeanor law The subject of this work is the delict of poaching, which, with some simplification, can be characterised in other words as illegal hunting of game or fish. However, this illegality can take different forms and can be affected in different ways, and for this reason poaching is an illegal act that is qualified as a crime or a misdemeanor depending on the circumstances. The analysis and mutual comparison of poaching as a crime and as a misdemeanor is the core of this work. The diploma thesis is divided into 6 chapters. In the introductory chapter, the goals of this work are defined and the relevance of this topic is explained. The second chapter is dedicated to the basics of legal regulation of hunting and fishing, as these legal branches establish the conditions under which hunting is authorised. Other legal regulations related to poaching are also presented. Poaching is a crime whose legal regulation dates back to the early Middle Ages, and it should come as no surprise that this crime has evolved greatly. For this reason, the third chapter is devoted to the historical development of poaching. The fourth and fifth chapters form the core of this work. Chapter four deals with the analysis of poaching as a crime. This chapter begins with...
Microplastics and plastics from a legal perspective
Novák, Adam ; Damohorský, Milan (advisor) ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Průchová, Ivana (referee)
Microplastics and plastics from a legal perspective Abstract The dissertation deals with the management of microplastics from a legal point of view, following the ever-increasing pollution of the environment by plastics. The issue of microplastics has not yet been dealt with at this level in the Czech environment. The dissertation is not aiming only at the management of primary microplastics, which is most often dealt with by existing legislation at the level of individual states, but also at the management of secondary microplastics, which have been so far legally dealt with only by indirect regulation (through limiting plastic waste as a source of this type microplastics). The aim of the work is primarily to create an overview of the existing legislation of the management of microplastics at the international and European level (including individual legislation of the EU member states). Based on this overview is made an analysis of this legislation and are formulated proposals and recommendations for improving the management of microplastics, especially to limit their release into the environment. The dissertation is divided into nine chapters: The first chapter is the introduction, in which the grasp of the topic, research questions and the structure of the work, including the methods used, are...
