Implementing of SPC into production process

This graduation thesis is concerned with implementing the SPC (Statistical process control) to the process plan. The aim of this thesis is an analysis of present status of manufacture laths bending and a selection of useful methods, which is possible to apply in a company processes. The main reason for SPC implementation is continual improvement of quality in manufacturing concern. The theoretical part of thesis consist of bending description, control of process quality, quality control instruments and errors in measurement. In practical part is described an actual status of manufacture and a solution of query.

The project elaborated in frame of the Master degree, study branch Metrology and Quality Assurance Testing. This Master´s thesis deals with optimization of process plan. In virtue of submission was created an analysis present condition using of statistical methods and it was created suitable statistical methods applicable in production organization. Then is here described the problem of brazing bells, because in this place is originating the most of uptightness. Then the thesis brings recommendation and findings, which can help with optimization this process.

Process performance planning

This thesis deals with the operational planning of production at DT – Výhybkárna a strojírna, a.s., specifically evaluating impacts of the passage of an exceptional order on manufacturing process. Aim is to analyze the current state of process management, to evaluate the impact of additional interventions into the processes and to quantify the costs associated with this intervention in the planned production. All with the minimum cost and maximum efficiency at a given quality. The goal is achieved by simulating of inserting an exceptional order in the enterprise information system.

KAIZEN Application

Firstly, the word KAIZEN is analysed in a theoretical part of this Master Thesis and the individual structures in organizations are described in next chapter. The requirements of relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, OHSAS 18001) are introduces, too. An audit, its types, sorts and processes of it are explained at the end of the theoretical part. A practical part contains “A project university - certifying authority – organisation”. The project deals with student´s involvement into the internal audits of selected organizations and gaining knowledge of audit processes. The project deals with competence evaluation of the internal audits´ implementation, too.

Statistical inspection

This work solving with the statistical inspection verification of big amounts of products imported to Czech Republic. Work it self is designed as general handbook and it will be possible to use it on other products then the model one. This work was elaborated with company which is importing screws for wood industry. We used common standards to define quality requirements of verificated products, and to design statistical inspection plans. The goal of this work is technical and economical evaluation of designed method, which was used on model product.

This bachelor thesis discusses the methods and tools of total quality management (TQM). The thesis is divided into two main sections. The first section explores the decision making tools, in particular statistical process management tools and team work methods. The second section describes the tools being predominantly used for enforcing the decisions such as motivation, leadership and appraisals.

The diploma thesis deals with the revision of the quality management system. The thesis contains a theoretical part that approximates the historical development of quality management, a brief description of the standard ISO 9001 and the changes that are between the revisions of 2008 and 2015. The diploma thesis is further focused on the analysis of the current status in the selected organization, the comparison of the requirements, must be added. The result of these activities is to propose changes to be made to successfully recertify the quality management system.

Offer process optimization

This master’s thesis concerns optimization of quotation process. It describes mapping of value stream by VSM Method (value stream mapping) in practical way in order to minimize cost. Further on it describes three points of view method when surveying and modifying process. It analyses process on three levels and describes suitable solution which makes process smoother and more effective. At the conclusion of this diploma project belongs evaluation of realised solutions and measures that need to be taken in future.
