Possibilities of cognitive functions in seniors

The thesis deals with the possibilities of development of cognitive functions in the elderly. It focuses on the most frequently impaired cognitive functions in the elderly. The main objectives of the thesis were to find out how cognitive functions are stimulated in the elderly in residential services or in homes for the elderly, in field care services and also in seniors living independently who depend on the support of family members. Another aim was to develop a specific intervention programme that would have a positive impact on the development of cognitive functions in the elderly. The results, obtained from the analysis of the individual interviews, are compiled in three case studies, which are divided according to the services mentioned above. The results of this qualitative research indicate that in each of the forms of care studied, attempts are made to address the senior and their cognitive functions. In some cases, a targeted focus on memory only was found, while in others they focus on the all-round development of cognitive functions. However, they always work with the individual needs and health status of the senior. - anglicky Title: Development of graphomotorics in pre-school children The present diploma thesis is focused on the topic of development of graphomotorics in pre- school children. The theoretical part deals with the description of children in pre-school age and everything related to this stage of life: the curricular documents, the concept of school preparedness and readiness as well as its diagnostics. The second half of the theoretical part describes the area of graphomotoric skills - its development and stages it undergoes, children drawings and its development and finally an overview of possible roadblocks and dysfunctions in graphomotorics. The empirical presents the result of research conducted via questionnaire for parents of pre-school children. Its aim was to uncover how well the parents are informed about and how much they are interested in the development of graphomotorics of their pre- school children. Inclusive policy in elementary school

This master thesis focuses on the still highly debated topic of inclusive education. The main aim of the thesis is to investigate the approach to execution of inclusive education at selected elementary school. Through research questions, the thesis finds out what circumstances contribute to implementation and acceptance of the inclusive education. The theoretical part of the thesis, based on the literature, describes the topic of inclusive education related to its development, legislative anchoring, and current perception. It also discusses the nature of an inclusive school, its establishment, evaluation, basic principles, participants and, last but not least, the benefits and pitfalls of inclusive education. The practical part of the thesis contains qualitative research carried out using the case study method. To gather the research data, structured interviews with nine respondents is used. The research investigates quality of the inclusive policy at the selected elementary school. It examines the school's openness to the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs and whether their education is properly staffed. Lenka Felcmanová ABSTRACT: In my diploma thesis I deal with the issue of partial functions and their possibilities for development in the preschool age and the early school age. The theoretical part focuses on the characteristics of the preschool age, the school age, the school entrance age, partial functions and their development, deficits, diagnostics and possible intervention. The practical part analyzes the results of research evaluating the effectiveness of an intervention program focused on the development of selected functions, which includes input diagnostic of functions of the selected groups of children aged 5 to 7 years, the intervention program and output diagnostic after its completion. Attitudes of primary school teachers to inclusive education of children with mental disabilities

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of inclusive education of pupils with mental disabilities. The aim of the thesis is to find out what attitudes are occupied by primary school teachers and teachers of basic schools that are practical for the inclusive education of pupils with mental disabilities. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on providing basic information about people with mental disabilities, the possibilities of their education and the interpretation of the concepts of integration and inclusion. Further, there is legislation on the education of pupils with special educational needs and a system of counseling services provided in schools and school counseling facilities. The practical part contains information acquired through the method of interview, whose aim is to find out the opinions and attitudes of teachers of basic schools and teachers of elementary schools that are practical for the inclusive education of pupils with mental disabilities.
Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague

The diploma thesis Comparison of primary prevention at the second level of elementary schools in Most and Prague discusses the implementation of primary prevention at the second level of elemetary school in these two selected locations. The diploma thesis is thematically divided into six chapters. The first part defines the basic terminology related to the topic of primary prevention. This section also contains information about particular topics of risky behavior and counsulting services of elementary schools. The second part follows a survey among school prevention methodologists in Most and Prague. The objective of the following practical part is to identify and compare what form and under what conditions is implemented primary prevention of risky behavior among pupils of the second level of elementary schools. For the survey was used quantitative method, in the form of a questionnaire divided between school prevention methodologists in both cities. In the final part there are interpreted the data obtained in the survey, which confirmed that in both areas there are different approaches to the implementation of primary prevention at the second levels of elementary schools.
