This Bachelor thesis entitled Holy Mass and small children is aimed at families with children taking part in Mass and it also outlines some possibilities how to bring the Mass effectively to small children and how to get them involved. When writing about small children I mean the children up to the age of six. First, this thesis deals with liturgy in general, the Eucharist, Mass and its structure, highlights celebration of Sundays in families including participation in Mass. It also deals with various ways of celebrating Mass and mainly Mass with small children and forms of children`s active participation in the Eucharist. From the point of view of developmental psychology the thesis specifies children`s abilities in different ages. Váňová, Libuše ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Málek, Vladimír (referee)
The film interpretation of the Gospels and their use during the religion teaching process Annotation Obsah této bakálářské práce je zaměřen na evangelia jako předlohy pro filmová ztvárnění a jejich využítí při výuce náboženství. Zařazujeme ho do metod názorně demostračních. The content of this thesis focuses on the gospel as templates for film representation and their use in the teaching of religion. Gospel as a model for the film is very often processable material for a screenplay. Promises a powerful story of Jesus Christ. But it depends on the director's conception of the person of Jesus, the extent to which the film differs from that of Jesus of the Gospel. And since this is...

Drugs addiction and Church's position
Kalivoda, Miroslav ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Kuźniar, Mariusz (referee)
English abstract This thesis is entitled "Požívání návykových látek a stanovisko církve", or, in English, "Use of Addictive Substances and Attitudes of the Church." It aims at providing - at least a limited - description of this problem, which is a negative feature of modern history of the Czech Republic. Following a shift in its political system in 1989, when a liberal capitalist system replaced a Communist system, the structure of values and the social structure of Czech society - young people in particular - changed much. Most of the data that I use apply to the Czech Republic and, to a lesser degrese, the European Union and the US. I look at these data from the perspective of the Catolic Church, that is to say, Christian ethics, morals, and the Canon law. I also examine the effect of evil with regard to this issue. The belief that the real situation of using addictive substance is very bad and extremely dangerous for the future hasproved to be correct. The Czech republic is one of the worst affected countries in Europe in term of using addictive substances (tobacco, alcohol, and illegal drugs). This is due to underestimating and taking a negligent approach to the problem in the past, among other factors. This had resulted in a rapid increase in use of these substances and in related crime. These is a...

Why is often associated primarily with the celebration of Christmas. The next short chapter brought Handel's biography, which is important due to the inclusion of the Messiah in the current author's work. Oratorio libretto consists of excerpts from the Bible from the Old and New Testaments. The libretto for Handel's setting was chosen, because it was addressed to him in some way.The chapter on messianism would point out, as reflected by messianism Jennensis libretto in the oveall focus of an oratorio. The conclusion summarizes the importance of the work that can be fully used for pastoral purposes, and recognizes the contribution of the work that is recognized worldwide. The Teaching on the Purgatory in the Diocese of Hradec Králové
Stehlíková, Zdislava ; Eliáš, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee)
The Diploma thesis "The teaching of the purgatory in the diocese of Hradec Králové" first shows identity of purgatory. It outlines the Biblical teaching by presenting an exegesis of Scriptural texts. The thesis offers a integral view of the Catholic doctrine of purgatory in the way it is defined by the Church`s Magisterium trough historical development and in today`s time. In general the Magisterium teaches the those who couldn't purify themselves from their sins are in need of after life purification. This is needed in order for them to be brought into a full community of God. It also teaches that the dead can be helped by pleading for them (Chapter 1). Next this work reveals the research of the teaching of the purgatory in the lessons of religious educcation and during regular Catecheses which take place in parish houses in the diocese of Hradec Králové. The aim of the research was to find out whether this doctine of the Church in pastoral care about children is taught and the way it is taught. The research wasn`t successfull because there weren`t enough questionnaries filled in (Chapter 2). The theology of the 20th century refers to the purgation as an existential transformation of the human. The purgatory is gift from God, not His punishment. The suffering that the person have to undertake...
