The first part of the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis High school students s attitudes toward national and ethnic minorities is focused on the explanation of individual multicultural terms such as an attitude, a prejudice, a national minority etc. Second part deals with the external influences that affect the creation of a human s attitude, particularly the family and school environment and the mass media. Last part discusses the multicultural education itself including definition of the idea, establishing the goals and the pillars of this education. There are mentioned necessary attributes of an educator and methods of multicultural education used in practice. The practical part describes the methods and the practices of the qualitative research realized at several high schools. The research leads to find out the differences between the apprehension of the national and ethnic minorities by the high school students. The facts learned in this research are evaluated and interpreted.
