Feasibility study of the pumped storage power station

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a study that deals with the construction of the machine cavern of the shaft-type pumped-storage power plant containing 4 machine sets of the Reverse Francis Trubine with underground penstocks and short discharge tunnels, located in the area of a quay in Vaňov in the Ústí nad Labem District. The introduction deals with the pumped-storage power plants in general. The following chapter focuses on the assessment of the locality of interest. The final part contains a proposal of a structural-technological design of the machine cavern by means of a technical report, a design of the spiral case and documentation of the structure by means of drawings.
Evaluation of hydrodinamic load on a brdge deck

The subject of this thesis is the evaluation of hydrodinamic load on a physical model of a bridge deck, especially to find the relation between the median and extreme quantiles of each hydrodanamic load part and to evaluate the influence, which has the shape of the bridge deck on the size of this load. Relations, that was found may be used to determine characteristic values of loads, caused by water flow, for example, when designing the bridge bearings.
Micro power plants for the use of residual gradients and flow

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to bring information about where hydropower is going in the future in accordance to using residual gradients and flow. Also, bachelor thesis is looking into different types of turbines which can be used for residual gradients and flow, then how government is helping with funding of new and existing hydropower plants. The last part of thesis is analyzing new location for picohydropower plant and bringing three possible designs.
Feasibility study of a small hydropower station within the navigation lock Přelouč II

The aim of this dissertation is to prepare a study of a small hydroelectric power plant as part of the Přelouč navigation level II. The preparation deals with one of the possible variants for the layout design of given constructions. The layout design of a weir with an adjacent lock chamber which secures navigability for the stretch of the Elbe River located between the river kilometers 949,23 and 951,20 near the city of Přelouč in the Pardubice District is also included in the study. The introduction chapter contains the assessment of the environment, which is followed by the specification of the exact placement of the constructions. In the following chapter, a particular type of the hydroelectric power plant machinery is designed based on the available hydrological information and gradient conditions. The final chapter contains the design of the constructional technological layout of an machine room in the form of a technical report and drawing documentation.
Estimating the flow capacity of river

The bachelor thesis is dealing with the watercourse`s capacity assessment of the river Jihlava on the kilometers 136,5 to 139,5 in the village Maly Beranov. In the chosen locality was made a model of the surface water flow during the flood flow rate Q1, Q5, Q20 and Q100. Based on the gathered information about the area`s utilization, errand and following calculation of the flow, the areas for a potential flood protection were identified. In the problematic locations was suggested to dredge the bottom. In selected sections was made a draft of protective earth dam and concrete wall. According to the draft of flood protection, the model of surface water flow was adapted and the efficiency of flood protection was verified by calculations. All the results are published in clear maps.
Analysis of the use of GIS in urbal planning

In this thesis, the issue of spatial planning and related programmes is presented. The possibilities of using programs such as GIS and BIM are described. In the practical part, the possibilities of land use analysis that can be used simultaneously with the development of land use plans are shown.
Study of flood protection measures

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the current and proposed state of flood protection on the left bank of the Moravia between the towns of Kroměříž and Hulín. Hydraulic calculations were performed using a 2D numerical model for peak flow Q100. The goal of the calculations was primarily the assessment of variant designs of inundation bridges, which form an essential part of the proposed anti-flood measures in the area of interest. The work also includes a comparison of different ways of entering the input parameters of the used 2D numerical models. The outputs are processed in the form of drawing documentation, map attachments and photo documentation.
Study of small hydropower station

The main focus of this thesis is to develop a study of a small hydro power station on the Fryšták reservoir located on the stream Fryšták at river km 4,225. The purpose of this study is the usage of hydroenergetic potential of the reservoir to produce clean electricity. The content of the study is a technical report, hydraulic and hydrotechnic calculations, drawings and photodocumentation.
Economic efficiency of a public project investment plan

This thesis deals with the issues of floods, flood control and damage assessment after floods. The first part focuses on floods and flood control measures, as well as evaluation of economic efficiency and methodology for determining damage and indicators for determining economic efficiency. Price indices and sensitivity analysis are also explained here. The second part discusses the investment project of the construction of the poldru Krounka – Kutřín, This is a conservation project on the novohradec river, which is financed from the subsidy program of the Ministry of Agriculture and the budget of the state-owned company Povodí Labe. The protected area, real estate and population are described. Damage to real estate is determined at the 2021 price level and the economic efficiency of the whole project is determined.
Optimization of hydropower utilization of Jesenice reservoir

The objective of this thesis is a design of optimization of hydropower utilization for Jesenice reservoir. Two possible solutions of a new small hydroelectric power plant were presented in this thesis including hydraulic and hydrotechnical calculations and project documentation at level of feasibility study. The final part summarizes the results and gives the recommendations for the further project of the reconstruction of the small hydro power plant Jesenice.
