The Impact of Injuries on the Mental Health of Athletes

The thesis deals with the issue of athletes returning to training and match process after injury, with focus on their mental health. The goal is to indentify negative psychological states that subsequently affect the performance of athletes, and their frequency in athletes returning to the training and match process after injury. A sub-goal is to find out the following possible variables involved in increasing/moderating these conditions. The work verifies the frequency of occurence of negative psychological states; investigates the influence of repeated injuries, differences between woman and man athletes, differences in individual and team athletes, and also verifies the frequency of use of coping strategies an their specific form. The work is devided into a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part was prepared on the basis of Czech and foreign language professional literature. In the research part,we use the psychological questionnaire CSAI-2 to determine the occurrence of anxiety and its influence on the performance of individuals in sportsman, who have suffered injuries. We expected that the injury would increase the athletes's anxiety at the time of returning to the training and match process. Motivation of seventh grade students for physical activities in Svitavy

The bachelor's thesis deals with the motivation for physical activities of children of older school age. In the theoretical part, basic concepts such as motivation, physical activity, physical fitness and older school age are defined. Furthermore, the work divides motivation into internal and external. And also introduces the issue of children's motivation for physical activities. It defines the concept of need, which is closely related to motivation, and the concept of performance motivation. Subsequently, it presents the definition of movement and the importance of physical activities, from a social point of view and also from the point of view of health prevention. Last but not least, the work is also focused on the characteristics of the city of Svitavy and the possibilities of organized physical activities that the city offers. Comparison of the physical fitness of pupils in small-class schools in ZŠ Benecko and ZŠ Štěpanice, ZŠ Moravec and ŽŠ Vraňany

Title: Comparison of the physical fitness of pupils in small-class schools in Benecko Elementary School, Štěpanice Elementary School, Moravec Elementary School and Vraňany Elementary School Goal of this project: The goal of this study is to compare the physical fitness of first-grade pupils in selected small-class schools in various regions in the Czech Republic and to compare their performance with the population norm in accordance with the UNIFITTEST (6-60). Method: The UNIFITTEST (6-60) standardized test has been used for the research, which serves for the assessment of the development of basic motoric skills. In total, 115 pupils have been tested in four (4) small-class elementary schools. Frequency analysis in Microsoft Excel 2016 has been used for the data analysis. Findings: The results have shown that the selected schools are on average in the overall evaluation of all disciplines according to the ten-point norm of the UNIFITTEST test (6-60) ranging from 5 to 6.5 points per pupil. After summing up, evaluating, and comparing all the tested disciplines in each of the schools, Elementary school Benecko reached the best score with an average of 6.5 points per pupil. The influence of laterality of lower limbs of football players on game success rate.

The work examines 12 players from the English Premier League and their teams. The sample focuses on 3 players with a dominant right lower limb playing on the right side of the pitch, 3 players with a dominant left lower limb playing on the right side of the pitch, 3 players with a dominant left lower limb playing on the left side of the pitch, and 3 players with a dominant right lower limb playing on the left side of the pitch for a period of 3 months, corresponding to 12 matches. The players were monitored using video analysis. Their game success was recorded using notation methods. Statistical data analysis was used to evaluate the collected data. The aim of the work was to determine the success of the players in resolving game situations according to their laterality and playing positions. Their success was also compared and conclusions were drawn from the results. The results of the work showed that players playing on their non-dominant side excel mainly in shooting and passing statistics. Players playing on their dominant side showed significantly better results in centering. It was also found that both groups of players showed minimal percentage difference in the frequency of using their non-dominant limb. Relation of student's performance of the Department of Physical Education at the Charles University - Faculty of Education in the admission procedure and fulfillment of study obligations in athletics and swimming in the period 2020-22

Submitted bachelor's thesis deals with comparing of the results of entrance exams and credits. It applies between three classes, some of them was affected by COVID-19 and some of them was not. The main aim of this thesis is thorough comparation of the performances between classes. Partial goal is to compare improvements or deteriorations of the credit requirements in athletics and swimming compared to entrance exams results performered by 3rd class. The research includes results of students of the Department of Physical Education and Sport at the Faculty of Education, Charles University. Students between the age of 19 to 25, both men and women. I took a use of archived documents and informations which were provided to me in cooperation with the teachers. Using Microsoft Excel program the data were evaluated. The differences values were calculated in percentages for better clarity. The results showed that students doing the entrance exams during the pandemic performed worse than students who did the entrance exams without any restrictions. Furthermore it was shown that students admitted without entrance exams performer worse in athletics credit requirement, which was 100 m run, than students admitted based on their performances in entrance exams. The diploma thesis focuses on the inclusion of judo elements in physical education at the 1st grade of elementary school. The goal of this thesis is to design and verify in practice a teaching program that would correspond to the skills and abilities of first-grade students. It is a comprehensive program of movement skills in the field of preparatory exercises and basic techniques, which is intended for beginners in the field of judo. The created program is taught in several groups of 1st grade students of different ages, at the end of the program the individual techniques were evaluated by the evaluation committee. The proposed program is evaluated by the students in the form of a questionnaire survey. It is functional and attractive for students. The knowledge gained can serve as a guide or motivation for how and why to work with judo as part of physical education at the 1st grade of primary schools. ADHD problematic at elementary school in physical education class

The theoretical part defines the ADHD concept, its causes, symptoms of this disorder and available treatment and aids to help a student with ADHD. Possible associated diseases are described as well. The paper also focuses on physical education, its history and development. The didactic principles of teaching physical education at initial stages of primary schools are also included. In the practical part, structured interviews with parents and teachers are used to identify problems that occur or may occur to students with ADHD during a physical education class, or at home. Physical education during a coronavirus pandemic was restrained, therefore the research tried to find out how those children were doing exercises and how the effort of the teachers looked like in respect to physical education. Based on these answers, a set of games / lessons was created that would help to prevent difficulties. Those activities should be designed to be manageable to practice them at home in the spaces between online lessons, even for ADHD students. Motor ability levels of secondary school boys practising handball

The aim of this study is to compare the level of physical abilities of boys of older school age involved in handball and the general population, using the test battery of the Czech Handball Association 2020. A total of 53 test subjects, divided into two groups (general population and handball players) filled in a questionnaire that was created for the purpose of the study and were subsequently tested with a battery of tests, consisting of agility T-test, dribbling after the "figure eight", shooting speed, long jump from the spot and Beep test. The results showed that the handball group performed better in all the tested disciplines, except for the agility T-test. The aim of the thesis was achieved as well as answering each of the research questions, and an interesting recommendation is the possibility of using the test battery to select new players for a team.

With regard to the development of the health status of the Czech population, the thesis aims to contribute to the understanding of the policy-making processes related to the specific part of the health policy (health promotion and primary prevention of non-communicable diseases) on the national level in the Czech Republic, as well as to discuss possible future development in this area.
