Protection of competition - block exemptions
Davidová, Lenka ; Horáček, Vít (advisor) ; Eichlerová, Kateřina (referee)
The main purpose of my thesis was to describe and analyse the system of the block exemptions. Briefly, the block exemption is a kind of exemption from the prohibition under article 101 (1) TFEU because it is supposed to fulfil the criteria of article 101 (3) TFEU. It exempts certain category of agreements, which are covered by the special regulation issued by the Council or more often by the Commission. The paper is divided into seven chapters and the first opening chapters are dealing with more general aspects of block exemption: the function, process of issuing, non- application and the advent of block exemption where the regulation 1/2003 (Modernisation Regulation) should be of special attention. It abolished the regime of previous notification of agreements to the Commission. An introduction to the system of other exemptions from the prohibition under article 101 (1) TFEU is also described there. The following part (chapter 4) focuses more detailed on the kinds of block exemptions, which are divided into the vertical, horizontal and sector exemptions. The former exemptions issued by the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition are no longer applicable and therefore only the block exemptions of the EU are of the concern of this paper. Furthermore, the special competition regime of some...
The reflections of war conflicts after the WWII in comics
Davidová, Lenka ; Hrdina, Matouš (advisor) ; Kruml, Milan (referee)
The Master thesis focuses on the representation of conflict after 1945 in a non- fiction comics. The thesis describes which important conflicts for the European and North American cultural sphere are covered by comics and how. It deals with the phenomenon of comics journalism. This term combining the elements of art and journalism is viewed in relation to the traditional ideal of objectivity in coverage of the events. In this context the thesis examines the position of the author in his comics. The thesis then identifies the comics genres in which wars and other armed conflicts are reflected. It searches for roots of comics that had attempted to capture the reality and in particular the conflict. It also provides an overview of the issue of media coverage of conflicts including the social construction of reality and the depiction of violence in media. The aim of this study is to analyze the characteristics of comics coverage of foreign military interventions and disputes and identify various authors who have written comics books about them. A key theme is a relationship between the perception of reality and its representation on the pages of comics. The thesis contains two interviews conducted with authors Guy Delisle and Patrick Chappatte. The research part of the thesis deals with the selected...

Diagnostic of semiconductor materials by EBIC method
Davidová, Lenka ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Čudek, Pavel (advisor)
Master´s thesis is focused on diagnostics of semiconductor materials by EBIC method (measuring of currents induced beam), determination of the lifetime of minority carriers, or their diffusion length. The theoretical part is aimed at the principle of scanning electron microscopy, the characteristic properties of the microscope and the signals generated by the interaction of the primary electron beam with the sample. The thesis describes a structure of semiconducting silicon, band models, types of lattice defects and doped of semiconductor structures. After that it is described the theory of calculation of the diffusion length of minority carriers in semiconductors of type N and P. The aim of the experiment part of the thesis is to measure the properties of the semiconductor structure by EBIC and determination of diffusion length and lifetime of minority charge carriers based on the measured data The aim of the experiment part of the thesis is to measure the properties of the semiconductor structure by EBIC and determination of diffusion length and lifetime of minority charge carriers on the basis of the measured data.
Photographic work of the frst czech photo-reporter r. bruner-dvorak in magazine czech world
Davidová, Lenka ; Lábová, Alena (advisor) ; Novotný, David Jan (referee)
Czech photographer Rudolf Bruner-Dvořák is one of the most significant figure of the period around the turn of century. As the personal photographer of the successor to the throne Franz Ferdinand d'Este or as the father of czech journalistic photography and the pioneer of pictorial reports, he was able to capture in his work the spirit of an era. Especially thanks to the most important pictorial magazine Český svět (Czech world) of this period, we can vividly imagine the society of new twentieth century. This work focuses on Rudolf Bruner-Dvořák's life and primarily on his cooperation with the Czech world. This work focuses on a wide variety of photographer's published themes in magazine and on their documentary contribution to our history.

Transcutaneous electrogastrography
Davidová, Lenka ; Závodná, Eva (referee) ; Nováková, Zuzana (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the physiology and pathophysiology of the gastrointestinal tract, with functional parameters and appropriate diagnostics. The thesis also deals with transcutaneous electrogastrography devices and presents a suggestion of a measurement protocol which would involve a group of volunteers in fasting and postprandial states. The theoretical part describes the function of the gastrointestinal tract, detailing the analysis of gastric myoelectric activity and gastric motility. It also outlines technical and formal aspects of the parameters, artefacts and subsequent data analysis. In the practical part, a program is designed and implemented in the Matlab computing environment for the analysis of EGG recordings. Furthermore, differences between parameters in fasting and postprandial states are evaluated.
Nábytek z odpadu
Davidová roz. Šmahelová, Lenka
The purpose of this thesis is a survey of existing examples of furniture made from waste material, subsequent investigations in the field of waste management in Brno in order to find a suitable waste material for furniture making, and finally its own design and implementation.
Determination of volume activity of gamma nuclide in environmental samples and assessment of influence of NPP Temelin on actual measured activity
DAVIDOVÁ, Lenka
In this thesis I target the assesment of a volume activity of gamma ray nuclides in the environment and the examination of the operation the Nuclear Power Station (NPS) Temelín in term of emitting the gamma ray nuclides and their environmental impact. There were collected data of several sorts of environmental samples for statistical analysis. The activity of gamma ray nuclides released by nuclear power plants to the environment after its initiation was compared to the activity of gamma ray nuclides contained it the environment before the initiation of the NPS. It was chosen five exemplary samples - , aerosoles, sediments, milk, soil and surface moisture, which have been scanning in years 1995 and 2005. In these samples, that have sufficient amount of data (sorts of milk, aerosoles and surface moisture) so the statistical analysis was relevant, it was proved, by the non-parametrical Mann-Whitney statistical testing, that there were no statistical difference between the data before and after the initiation of the NPS. The environmental impact wasn´t demonstrated. In these samples, that haven´t sufficient amount of data (sediments and soil), they were also tested (parametrical t. test) and it was proved that there were no statistical difference between the data before and after the initiation of the NPS. Because of very low quality of the testing, we have to use the box plot to ascertain the influence of NPS. In these plots the environmental impact wasn´t demonstrated as well.
