Preparation of elemental 2D materials
David, Jiří ; Čechal, Jan (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on searching suitable experimental conditions for epitaxial growth of silicene, multilayer silicene and phosphorene, and their analysis by LEED and LEEM. Composition was analyzed by XPS. In the first part, a summary of literature research on properties and structure of these materials is presented. The second part describes experiments attemping to prepare these materials. Silicene was the only successfully-prepared material. It was imposible to reach suitable experimental conditions for multilayer silicene growth in the available experimetal setup. Deposition of phosphorus led only to formation of phosphorene precursor.
Preparation of elementary 2D materials and heterostructures
David, Jiří ; Redondo,, Jesús Rubén López-Roso (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the preparation of blue phosphorene on Ag(111) and Cu(111) substrates and on the preparation of heterostructure graphene/blue phosphorene on Cu(111) substrate. The structural properties of these materials were analyzed by LEED, LEEM, and STM. Chemical composition was measured by XPS. The first chapter describes the properties of blue phosphorene, the influence of the substrates on its growth, the current experimental state, and the advantages of heterostructures from 2D materials. The second chapter is focused on the optimization of blue phosphorene’s growth conditions. Next, a successful preparation of blue phosphorene on Cu(111) substrate is demonstrated. Additionally, a new growth mechanism of 2D materials is described. In the end, an attempt to prepare a heterostructure of blue phosphorene and graphene was made. The results show a possible feasibility of demonstrated approach.

Duty to prove and the duty to assert in litigation
David, Jiří ; Winterová, Alena (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with the duties of the parties to a litigation (contentious civil procedure). There are two such duties in a litigation: the duty to prove and the duty to assert. The aim of the thesis is to analyze these procedural institutes, to explain both their historical context and their relation to other related institutes such as the burden of proof or the burden of proof assertion. Concurrently, duties of the court itself regarding this matter are dealt with as well as imperfections of current legislation. In the last chapter, proposals de lege ferenda are made. This thesis is divided into six basic sections. The first one focuses on the historical perspectives, the second one deals with theoretical fundamentals and basic concepts, the third one addresses the duties of the court itself related to this subject matter, the fourth one focuses on the judicature of both the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of the Czech republic, the fifth one describes and compares related current legislation of Slovakia and, as mentioned, the last chapter contains several proposals de lege ferenda.
Czech and global fine arts market (with an emphasis on a critical reflection of authorities from the Czech republic and abroad)
Dvořák, Olga ; Boučková, Jana (advisor) ; David, Jiří (referee) ; Němeček, Jan (referee)
The dissertation examines art as a very specific luxury commodity that is difficult to define and place on a market. The objectively given uncertainty of an art market does not seem to be consistent with the investment function of an artwork. The price of this product is unstable and non transparent and it is generally formed through a marketing tool - a commercial art fair. The main aim of this dissertation is to uncover the specifics of the fine art market. The secondary objective is to determine how emerging art from the Czech Republic is represented on a global scale. The research method included expert opinions from interviews as well as statistical processing of survey answers from several different professions. The main outcome of this research found out expert opinions from prominent art institutions around the world, and their awareness of Czech contemporary art. The beneficial factor of this research is the recommendation for Czech artists and commercial galleries to penetrate the global market. Beside the practical benefits there are additional benefits for science, as the information and research is taken from different fields, which is not so sufficiently monitored or presented as well in the Czech Republic. The focus on the pedagogical benefits are evident as the author has paid much attention to these issues for several years in the conext of regular lectures on the art of marketing at the University of Economics in Prague.
Contemporary political art and photography in Czech republic
Matějková, Daniela ; David, Jiří (advisor) ; Kolář, Viktor (referee)
This work focuses on artistic projects that can be described as politically engaged and those that are based on - or are using as their coponent - the medium of photography.
Určení objemového průtoku vazkoplastických kapalin mezikružím za pomoci aditivní metody
Filip, Petr ; David, Jiří
An additive method enabling a direct determination of axial flow rate for viscous (power-law model) and viscoplastic (Vočadlo model) fluids in concentric annuli is presented. Flow rate through the actual concentric annulus is possible to express as a sum of axial flow rates through individual partial concentric annuli forming the whole annulus. The resulting relation for axial flow rate is possible to express in analytical forms without necessity of otherwise complicated derivations. The only numerical calculation consists in a determination of location of a zero shear stress for the original whole concentric annulus.
Možné využití limitních případů axiálního toku mezikružím pro mocninové kapaliny
Filip, Petr ; David, Jiří
The present contribution discusses an applicability of the limiting solutions for an aspect inner-to-outer dimeter ratio and flow behaviour index n of a power-law model in concentric annuli.
Empirický model zohledňující lokální extrém průběhu viskozity
Filip, Petr ; David, Jiří ; Pivokonský, Radek
Almost all empirical models dealing with the flow curves of non- Newtonian fluids can be applied only in the case of monotonous course of these curves. Exceptionally it is possible to model viscosity behaviour of rheologically more complex materials if there appears, in the course of a flow curve, a global extreme. The 8-parameter model proposed enables a description of viscosity behaviour in dependence on shear rate or shear stress also for the case when an extreme (maximum or minimum) is only local.
K charakterizaci Vočadlova modelu pomocí postupu zpětného vytlačování
Filip, Petr ; David, Jiří ; Pivokonský, Radek
Back extrusion represents one of the cheapest and time-saving experimental methods how to determine rheological characteristics of the fluids studied. This method is based on plunging of a circular rod into an axisymmetrically located circular cup containing the experimental sample. Formerly this method was successfully applied to power-law, Bingham and Herschel-Bulkley fluids. The aim of this contribution is to present a sufficiently simple user-friendly procedure how to determine the individual rheological parameters appearing in the Vočadlo model (sometimes called Robertson-Stiff one) - yield stress, consistency parameter and flow behaviour index.
