Strategy of financial education in the Czech Republic and its implementation

This bachelor thesis describes financial literacy in the Czech Republic. The thesis should provide to readers comprehensive summary about level of financial education in the Czech Republic and should illustrate importance of this education for the whole society. Big part of this work is devoted to the most important documents approved by the Czech government which are intended to improve level of financial literacy of Czech citizens. These documents also exactly determine the term of financial literacy. Further the work deals with completed researches in this area and the content is enriched by own research focused on financial literacy development of secondary school pupils. One of the main goals of the thesis is to find available possibilities of financial education both for schools and for adults. Additionally the thesis presents survey of publications and other study materials available to this topic on the Czech market.
Analysis of the APRC for consumer loans

The thesis titled "Analysis of the APRC for consumer loans" begins with basic economic knowledge of the consumer loans, mutual context and legal background. Key emphasis is placed on the pointer annual percentage rate of charge. Analyzed loans are selected from wide range of bank and non-bank institutions that meet the specified parameters. For each loan there is comparison of calculated and actual values presented in the APRC. Next part of focused on overall comparison of the obtained results. Last section provides theoretical recommendations for future development.
Analysis of the Czech Republic´s Mortgage market and its Situation in time of the Global crisis

My thesis is focused on the analysis of the Czech Republic's mortgage market and its situation in time of the global crisis. The first part deals with the theoretical framework in which I define what a financial crisis is, what are it's different types and symptoms. I focus mainly on the American subprime mortgage crisis, which became the starting point of the global financial crisis. I also define the term mortgage, it's main characteristics and types. Then I single out the main factors which influence the Czech Republic's mortgage market. In the second part of my thesis the evolution of the main macroeconomic indicators during the global crisis are described, as well as the situation at housing and mortgage markets in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. With the help of statistical analysis main connections and directions of influence on mortgage market were defined.
Mortgage loans and financing housing in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis is focused on mortgage loan as a product for financing own housing and on analysis of development of mortgage loans depending on macroeconomic indicators. The thesis also includes definition of the most important risks related to mortgage loan, connection with real estate market, importance of property lien and forms of national financial aid of financing housing. At the conclusion of the thesis illustrative case showing choice of appropriate mortgage loan is mentioned.
Analysis of systemic risk in the context of the financial systems stability surveillance

Diploma thesis deals with the issue of systemic risk and its impact on the financial system. In terms of the explanation of the individual regularities analyses principles of systemic risk and its impact on the financial sector. The first part of this work is dedicated to a complex analysis of the systemic risk sources and a description of different measurement methods among others also dedicated to detection of systemically important institutions. The analytical part demonstrates an application of one of the model for systemic risk measurement on the real data from the United States of America between years 1990 and 2011 and the analysis of the newly adopted Dodd-Frank Act regulation. The main merit of this work is to describe and evaluate the complex perspective of the systemic risk, which is a prerequisite for its successful application and management.
The analysis of the APR indicator on the consumer credit

This thesis deals with the analysis of the annual percentage rate (APR) and other key parameters of the consumer credit with regard to observance of the legal rules by major providers of the consumer credit on the Czech credit market. The first part deals with the economic implications of the consumer credit. It focuses mainly on the analysis of the indebtedness of Czech households on the consumer credit market. The second part deals with the legal implications of consumer credit, mainly legal requirements that are imposed on providers of the consumer credit. The third part provides the analysis of the APR indicator on the consumer credit and on the short-term loans. On the basis of the defined consumer credit models is provided the comparison of the APR for each credit both in terms of its compliance with the current legislation and in terms of the provider of the consumer credit. The final part deals with the specific recommendations for the financial literacy development and for the future legislative development.
The financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis focuses on the financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The basis is the research made by the author of the diploma thesis. The main objective is to analyze the real situation of the financial comprehension by Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic, and highlight their mistakes in the complex world of finance. This thesis also points out some problems and complications, which have resulted from lack information about financial products. It will also try to suggest a method of how to increase financial literacy of Vietnamese immigrants. The diploma thesis is composed in three chapters. The first one gives some information about Vietnamese immigrants in the Czech Republic. The second part presents the results from research, and the last chapter deals with a financial institution that wants to focus on Vietnamese clients in the Czech Republic.
Analysis of the consumer-finance market with focus on the company Cetelem ČR, a.s.

Indebtedness of all subjects of the economy is recently a closely watched topic. The content of this work is the analysis of the consumer-finance market in the Czech Republic. This analysis is carried out in the period 2006 - 2010 and allows monitoring the consequences of the financial crisis. The second part is focused on product comparison between Cetelem ČR, a.s. and its competitors in the market. In conclusion there is the financial analysis of the company Cetelem using data from its annual reports.
Comparison of selected mortgage products

The aim of this thesis is "A comparison of mortgage products". Author performs the comparison of mortgage lending systems of two states, the Czech Republic and Russia. The thesis is divided into 5 main chapters. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of mortgage loans; the differences (e.g. legislation, documents for processing, etc.). The second chapter analyzes the dependence of interest rates on loans in certain parameters. The third chapter describes the situation of recent years, the crisis of 2008 to the present. The fourth chapter compares TOP3 offers of Czech and Russian banks. The fifth chapter focuses on real estate fraud in the market. The conclusion summarizes the major differences of mortgage lending in the Czech Republic and Russia.
Pension reform and demand for supplementary pension insurance

This bachelor thesis deals with the current reform of the pension system in the Czech Republic. The first part briefly discusses the Czech pension system, especially its deficiency and the need for change. Second chapter analyses the pension reform passed in 2011, particularly the reform steps already taken and the expected creation of a new pension system after 2013. Third chapter is devoted to the supplementary pension insurance with state contribution, its present standing and its planned changes. Fourth chapter marginally presents current pension funds in the Czech Republic, considering the significant transformations from January 2013.
