Psychosocial intervention after mass critical incidents with respect to the needs of blind and visually impaired persons

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of psychosocial intervention after mass critical incidents and is particularly focused on the specifics for blind and visually impaired persons. After defining the main concepts, it deals with psychosocial intervention in general. Later it focuses on those aspects that differ while working with blind and visually impaired persons. These are mainly the aspects that relate to appropriate first communication and adequate treatment that eventually increase the impression of held-control and self-sufficiency. Next the thesis presents overview of existing Czech and some foreign guidelines on the topic. In the final part it proposes a research project examining the impact of different levels of knowledge of these guidelines on the experience of the blind and visually impaired survivors.
