Dynamics of mental states in a tennis match within players aged 15-18 years
Bachmanová, Barbora ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title of thesis: DYNAMICS OF MENTAL STATES IN A TENNIS MATCH WITHIN PLAYERS AGED 15-18 YEARS The goal of thesis: Aim of this work was to determine what self-regulating techniques are used by professional players aged 15 to 18 years in key moments of the tennis match, in which way the player is working with its own mentality, and how they can control the key moments of the match, when things go wrong. To meet the objective there were some scientific questions created. These questions follow:  What are some player's experiences with the intervention of a sports psychologist?  How players react to mental stress in the match?  How the player in the hypothetical model is thinking about the current negative situation of the match? Method: In the thesis, method of questioning was applied. There was an anonymous questionnaire composed of 15 questions created. The sample was 27 players until 18 years (juniors), ranked up to 100th place of national ranking in the Czech Republic. Štrupl, Jaroslav ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: The measurement of the reactive time of czech elite tennis players in the junior category 15 - 19 years old. Objectives: The object of this thesis is to measure reactive time of elite tennis players, to determine mutual relations of specific factors. Methods: Research of a literature, questionnairies and people testing Result: In theoretical part, our thesis offers way how to improve reactive time in the way how scientific researches documents it. We focused on a testing of a reactive time of players in category of juniors in a practical part. The main requirement was to be within 30th place on the czech ranking. We tested these players on a simple and complicated subjects by the Vienna test system. Our research proved the dependence of the tennis on the reactive periode and the motoric reaction. Majority of probands was placed on a border above 84% of the population sample which was considered as a very outstanding result. We also proved that if are players influenced by permanent training of a reactive time their performance is improved. Key words: tennis, reactive time

Comparation of endurance abilities cyclists and tennis players
Pečl, Adam ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Comparation of endurance abilities cyclists and tennis players Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is comparation results functional load diagnostics at the tennis players and cyclists. At the same time the objective is find out difference in endurance between tennis players and cyclists. Methods: In this thesis was used load tests up to vita maxima. Tennis players perform it on the treadmill and cyclists on the bicycle ergometer. The data are transform into the tables and statisticaly evaluate. For statistical process was used arithmetical average, standard deviation and calculate difference in percents. . Results: The results of the functional load diagnostics tests was different between tennis players and cyclists on bicycle ergometer. Cyclists achieve highest score at the all measured parameters. The maximum oxygen intake differed by 29.4%, the heart rate limit aerobic threshold difference was 7.4%, the heart rate at the anaerobic threshold, the difference of 5.4% for vital capacity was difference 14.8% and minute ventilation differed by 8.9%. Differences in values showed better endurance abilities. Keywords: Tennis, cycling, test up to a vita maxima, endurance abilities

Return temporal anticipation on the basis of the ball trajectory estimation
Carboch, Jan ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Zháněl, Jiří (referee) ; Tomajko, Dušan (referee)
Return temporal anticipation on the basis of the ball trajectory estimation Abstract Ball-hitting in tennis involves spatio-temporal information about the ball's flight trajectory. We have focused on the temporal part of the information during returning a tennis serve that was simulated by a ball machine. The tested people had occlusion glasses placed on their head, which occluded their vision at the exact time, when the ball was being sent from the ball machine. The tested person did not know which part of the ball flight trajectory would be occluded, nor the ball speed. We examined the effect of part ball flight trajectory occlusion on the correct return timing of the ball. The analysis revealed that the greatest problems occurred while the second third of the ball flight trajectory had been occluded and reached most temporal errors at that time. Keywords: tennis, anticipation, ball flight trajectory, return stroke, occlusion glasses
Dynamic warm-up race for tennis players
Koskuba, Jakub ; Kočíb, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Dynamic warm-up race for tennis players Subject: Male and female tennis players from tennis club Tj Lokomotiva Plzen Objective: Compare immediate influence of static and dynamic stretching on performance level during particular movement tests using device Myotest PRO Methods: To meet the objective quantitative comparison was used by performance parameters using load accelerometer. Quantitative stress parameters were evaluated for individual tests as the mean value from a large amount of repetition in individually evaluation. Results: Tests proved it is not possible to confirm acute positive influence of dynamic stretching on all assesed parameters in different tests. In terms of average values of different tests a noticeable lower limbs improvement has been emerged at two out of three tests. Keywords: dynamic stretching, warm up, sport, injuries, regeneration, tennis
