Methods: The indirect method was used in the form of video surveillance to meet the objectives. The analyzed group consisted of five professional tennis players, who were exposed to the research model game situation. All five servers were recorded by a high speed camera in the area of the receiving player; radar was used to measure the ball speed. The key point for evaluation was the moment of release of the ball from the server's hand, the highest reached point of the ball and the moment when the ball was hit by the racket. The analyzed results were presented in the form of tables and graphs; from the statistical methods, the arithmetic average was used mainly. Results: This research focused on anticipating the tennis serve from the perspective of the receiving player. Weissová, Adéla ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Reaction rate difference between outfielders and infielders in softball Objective: The goals to compare reaction rate of outfielders and infielders in softball Hypothesis: Infielders are able to react faster than outfielders Methods: reactometer measurement, statistical methods Results: The evaluation of all measured values, we conclude that the players of infield and outfield have approximately the same values. An important outcome measure for our study was the difference between the total arithmetic average value of infielders and outfielders, testing selective reaction rate. Infielders were measured shorter reaction time than the outfielders, but this value was only 18 ms, which is for performance of defenders very negligible value. After testing and evaluation of a simple reaction rate results were the following character: outfielders have been measured in a shorter reaction time than the players in the infield, the difference of the measured times, however, corresponds to 20.1 ms. In this case, the result does not reflect a noticeable difference. Keywords: reactometer, measurement, softball, fieldplayers, reactiontime
