The perception of objective and subjective risk of alpine tourism users.

Author: Veronika Opršalová Title: The perception of objective and subjective risk of alpine tourism users Objective: Characterization of mountaineering and examination of awareness of the differences between subjective and objective danger. Methods: A questionnaire survey was used to obtain data from respondents, so it is quantitative research. Results: Of the total number of respondents, 86.3% stated that they could distinguish between subjective and objective dangers, which was verified using the following questions. Furthermore, it was found that the participants of mountaineering are aware of their mistakes and try not to repeat them. 61.3% of respondents have become more careful over the years, 30% of respondents have not changed their view of danger over the years and the remaining 8.7% of respondents no longer perceive danger as much as they used to after years. Conclusion: The thesis characterizes mountaineering and deals with its history. It also deals with the perception of subjective and objective danger of the participants of mountaineering. Analysis of material equipment of elite MTBO competitors

Title: Analysis of material equipment of elite MTBO competitors Objectives: The aim of this work is to analyse the material equipment of elite MTBO competitors. That means mainly mountain bikes and their components. The bachelor thesis describes which material equipment the elite MTBO competitors use and if there are any differences among them. Methods: The questionnaire method was used to obtain data regarding the research objective. The analysis was applied in the description of individual types of bikes and their components, which elite MTBO racers use. Results: The analysis identified the key components of the bikes used by elite MTBO racers. These are a carbon frame, hydraulic brakes and 29 inch wheel sizes that are used by almost all elite MTBO racers. Half of the competitors use full suspension bikes and half use hard-tail bikes with a suspension fork. Differences are in the less important components of the bike, which adapt to personal preferences. Conclusion: The analysis of the results showed the use of the same important components of the bike, but they highlighted personal preferences in less important parts. Title: Freestyle kiteboarding methodology Aims: The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to compile а methodological approach throughout the training of kiteboarding tricks. Methods: The thesis was written on the basis of the analysis of the documents, it is а expert work. The method of content analysis was used for the data processing from the Internet and books which were used as the main sources of the information and subsequent description of individual tricks. More information were gained by the informal way - interviewing the professional riders. Name: Methodology of snowboardcross Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to process a part of the snowboard cross methodology from the point of view of the technique of ways of overcoming obstacles resulting from their characteristics. Methods: The basic method in this work was the qualitative research and analysis of documents, internet sources. Next method was unstructured interviews with the national coaches of the Czech Republic in snowboard cross and the author's empiric experiences. Results: The methodology thus elaborated for training the technical skills of overcoming obstacles in snowboardcross will serve as a basis for future but also current snowboard cross coaches. Unfortunately, no other methodology so elaborated has been found, but according to the coaches of the Czech Republic team in SBX this methodology is currently the most effective. Title: The TempO race organization methodology for beginners Objectives: The main goal of this work is to create a methodological manual for organizing the TempO race for beginners based on monitoring the work of organizers during the preparation and during the orientation race TempO Pod Parapletem. Another goal is to evaluate the feedback from the participants submitting suggestions for improvement based on the evaluation of the results of the questionnaire survey. Methods: The method of observation and the method of questioning were used in the thesis. The observation method was used to monitor the organizers in the preparation and implementation of the TempO Pod Parapletem race. Respondents' opinions on the organization and course of this race were obtained using the method of questioning. The individual steps of preparations and the implementation procedure were evaluated on the basis of the respondents' feedback. Results: The result of the organizers' observations was the compilation of a general procedure of partial organizational steps in the preparation of the TempO orienteering race. The results of the questionnaire pointed out shortcomings in the event and recommendations were made on their basis to improve the organization for potential organizers of events of a similar type....

Title: Study possibilities and job opportunities in outdoor activities in USA Objectives: The object of this thesis is to research and describe study possibilities at American universities and job opportunities in outdoor activities in USA. Methods: This thesis is literature review and analyses printed sources available related to researched topic and internet websites containing current information in researched subject. Also, it was used own experiences of the thesis author. The primary source of information were publications from UK FTVS library, thesis written under the supervision of the experts at outdoor sports department at UK FTVS and thesis from other Czech universities teaching outdoor activities. Further important source was specialized publications, especially articles from Gymnasion magazine, next, articles from EBSCO databases. During the research of USA universities offering outdoor activities courses, educational system, scholarships, job opportunities, transfer and visa options, were used also internet sources for topicality reason and own experience. Title: The Singletrack in the Context of Mountain Biking Objectives: The main goal of the bachelor thesis is systematically to introduce the overview of present knowledge in the cross mountain biking area including the wider contexts. Furthermore through the domestic and foreign literature search to reflect the term singletrack, eventually to create the well-arranged overview of the singletrack regions in Czech Republic and in the world. Last but not least to provide the comprehensive analysis of the biggest area of this type in our territory - Singltrek pod Smrkem. Methods: For the data collection and information acquisition have been used following methods: documentary and comparative observation of the tracked objects (technical parameters), standardized and non-standardized interviews (trail builders, village majors), analysis of information resources (domestic and foreign literature search), marginally comparative methods (CR versus world). Name: Flyboarding - methodology of teaching begininners Goals: The aim of this work is to compare ways of teaching a first flyboard lesson (American, Vietnam, Czech). The other objective is to create a picture diagram that will help instructors in teaching the teoretical part of the lesson. Methodology: In our thesis we used a methodology of analysis and used quantitative research. We apllied the methodology of analysis in parsing each teaching method on 150 beginners. In the period under consideration of the performance stage we evaluate the results accoarding to the Zapata teaching manual [40] and the criteria (1. the lenght of the theoretical and practical part of the lesson, 2. the effectiveness of teaching, 3. the use of aids in the theoretical part of the lesson, 4. the quality of teaching history, safety, how flyboarding works, take-off, 5. the begginer feedback after the lesson) Results: We found out that the most effective teaching methodology is the American lesson. Instructional video effectively prepared beginners for the practical part of the lesson. They were able to fly in less than five minutes. The Czech methodology provedto be standart. Title: The bussines plan for building a climbing centre in Velim Objectives: The main objective of the Bachelor thesis is to make a bussines plan for building a climbing center in Velim. The theoretical part will summarize and describe the theoretical basis for the practical part. In the practical part, I will first determine profitability from an entrepreneurial perspective in terms of costs and anticipated revenues. The first partial objective is to create individual analysis, especially analysis of competition, whereas the second partial objective is implementation of the project into the non-profit sector. Part of this objective will be the creation of a climbing club. Methods: For the theoretical analysis of the work, descriprive analysis of all sources was used. For the practical part, I used descriptive analysis of basic concepts as well as SWOT, PEST and competition analysis. It was necessary to find a suitable location and create a business plan. I also contacted the owners of some clombing centres to learn more about fundings they received, their legal forms of the business, and average visitor traffic.
