Analysis of Protests against Internet Regulation (2011-2012)

The goal of the thesis was to describe protests against ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) that took place in Czech Republic in the first half of year 2012. The research consists in analysis of individual protests. While writing this thesis I've focused on describing the role of civil sector organizations, what frames their organizers used and also what was the role of new medias in organizing and dispersing these protests.

Participation of fans in proffesional football

The diploma thesis is focused on fan participation in current state of play in professional football. The paper provides three case-studies of the establishment of fan teams and associations in the background of professional football in the Czech Republic. The objective of thesis is to compare the situation of three fan teams in the Czech Republic and the world. Secondarily, the paper seeks to analyze fan teams as part of civic society and to what extent the teams contribute to the fulfillment of basic functions of civic society.

Artificial intelligence on nVIDIA Jetson platform

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design, train and implement an artificial neural network in an NVIDIA Jetson Nano embedded device. The first part of the thesis describes the current state of the art of implementing artificial intelligence in embedded devices. The following section describes the tools for developing artificial neural networks and the possibilities of implementing them in a Jetson Nano device. These tools are further used in the thesis to create and train an artificial neural network to detect a fault in preprocessed measurement data on a synchronous electric motor. Finally, the optimization of the trained neural network is described. The achieved results are summarized in the conclusion of the paper.

Condition monitoring of mechatronic systems

This thesis is concerned with condition monitoring and quantitative analysis of synchronous motors. Constantly rising requirements on the reliability of motors develop new methods of predictive diagnostics, which can identify failure conditions in the initial stage. Created mechatronic systems with the implemented failure from pre-prepared PMSM model are tested by unconventional condition monitoring methods. Software solutions of diagnostics and model designs of the mechatronic systems are implemented in MATLAB & Simulink. Part of this work is also a short introduction to the issue with necessary theoretical fundamentals and research of some selected methods of predictive diagnostics.

Modeling and Control of AC Electric Drives during Fault Conditions

Dizertační práce se zabývá modelováním a řízením elektrických pohonů během poruchových stavů. Práce se obzvláště zaměřuje na více-fázové motory. První část práce se zabývá matematickými rovnicemi obecného více-fázového motoru a následným odvozením n-krát troj-fázového zapojení motoru. Modely v dq souřadnicovém systému a modely ve statorových souřadnicích jsou navrženy pro simulaci chování motoru během poruchových stavů. Další část práce se zabývá analýzou poruch ve více-fázových motorech s využitím matematických modelů. Různé vnitřní struktury vinutí motoru jsou analyzovány z pohledu možného řízení během poruchového stavu. Taktéž je prezentováno chování těchto různých struktur motoru během poruchových stavů. Předmětem analýzy jsou elektrické poruchy vinutí motoru a elektrické poruchy výkonové elektroniky. Poslední část práce se zabývá testováním navrženého řídícího algoritmu a navržených kompenzačních strategií pro poruchy na reálných motorech. Pro testování byl použit segregovaný dvakrát troj-fázový motor a experimentální motor s odbočkami pro emulaci poruch vinutí. Provedené testy prokázaly, že vhodně navrhnutý motor v kombinaci se správným řídícím algoritmem a výkonovou elektronikou dokáže zaručit kontinuální běh pohonu i během poruchy.

Hardcore punk in Czecho-Slovakia: From self-organized political protest to political activism?

Hardcore and Punk in Czecho-Slovakia: From Grassroots Political Protest to Political Activism? A Case Study of the North Bohemian Hardcore Punk Scene While security concerns are still predominant in Czech subcultural studies, other works have focused on politicisation or taken the anthropological perspective. At the same time, subcultures are the constituent parts of unorganised civil society. Many of their activities are oriented outside the subcultural scene, toward the public space. The present dissertation deals with the hardcore punk subculture as a part of civil society. Its goal was to identify the forms of integration in the public space that are typical of the subculture. The fieldwork was conducted primarily in the Ústí nad Labem Region in the years 2012- 2016. Participant observation and in-depth semi-structured interviews were the chosen research methods. Thematic analysis was subsequently implemented to interpret and analyse the data. The approach was selected following a wide-ranging discussion of the main concepts of subcultural theory, their specifics and characteristics in the post-socialist region.
