Assessing the parameters of quality of chemistry education
Rozkydalová, Andrea ; Rusek, Martin (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
The main scope of this thesis was assessing and evaluation of parameters of quality of chemistry education at secondary and primary schools. In this thesis, there are views at education quality in general connected to the natural science education and specifically chemistry. Then the attention is being paid to the system of curricular documents and standards. Then there are written procedures, description of progress and results evaluation. In this thesis, an evaluation tool was verified during a pilot verification at secondary and elementary schools. A part of this thesis is dedicated to evaluation of individual lessons with the use of evaluation tool. Other possible factors which influence teachers' activity and education quality itself.
The Second Life of the Cistercian Monastery at Plasy (1623 - 1785): Provostry at Mariánská Týnice and Chapel of the Name of Mary at Mladotice in Manifestation of the Order Festivities
Beneš, Pavel ; Royt, Jan (advisor) ; Biegel, Richard (referee)
The present thesis focuses at analysing the development of the Cistercian monastery in Plasy during the Baroque period, as well the monastery festivities, which belonged among important events of the monastery's everyday life, being an inseparable part of routine within the renewed monastery structure and new sacral foundations. The major focus of the whole thesis is set on the linkage of primary sources to the individual aspects of life of the Order, such as the Order liturgy, the issue of the foundation stones, or the apotheosis of the newly built structures by Giovanni Battista Santini-Aichel. The concluding chapter summarizes and evaluates the outcomes of the thesis. The present theses could not have...
Teaching consumer literacy for students of second stage of elementary education on the example of dairy products
Jelínková, Věra ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
In developed countries, the majority of the population perceives food only from the viewpoint of a consumer. Few know its origin, production technology and composition, and they can't critically evaluate, which products are beneficial in terms of proper nutrition. Therefore, this work deals with the development of consumer literacy in the area of food, i.e. food literacy among pupils of second stage of elementary school, where is not systematic given attention to this theme. As an appropriate example for teaching were chosen milk and dairy products, which are an essential part of healthy eating mostly in childhood. In line with the objectives of this work has been created structured summary of the findings of these foods serving as a theoretical background for teachers. It was also done research survey about knowledge and attitudes to milk and dairy products among pupils of second stage of elementary school. It turned out that in the surveyed sample, most of the pupils consume milk and basic dairy products (butter, cheese, yoghurt), but the consumption of other fermented dairy products is considerably lower. Most respondents considered milk and dairy products beneficial to our health, however they were almost unaware of its production technology and were not interested in their origin and...
Human Protection in Emergencies as a Theme for Vocational School Students
Metelková, Iva ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
TITLE: Human Protection in Emergencies as a part of Health Education AUTHOR: Iva Metelková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Eva Marádová, CSc. ABSTRACT Human Protection in Emergency (HPE) is the subject of this theoretical research thesis. The theoretical part focuses on a set of human protection in emergency and military training in the broader historical context but also legislative context. Space is devoted to the unambiguous definition of related terms. Furthermore the course curriculum reform with emphasis on the level of secondary vocational education. The practical part is focused on the evaluation of the research that was conducted among the students of first and second years of nonscience oriented secondary vocational schools. Data for the research was obtained by questionnaire survey and analyzed the statistical method. The work also includes a draft concept for the implementation of the teaching of human protection in emergencies. The objective of this proposal is to ensure access to information concerning the HPE for students but also for teachers and that contribute to the formation of desirable patterns of behavior for participation in the incident. The real experiment in the preparation of chemistry teachers
Šedivec, Vratislav ; Richtr, Václav (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee) ; Kolář, Karel (referee)
The thesis deals with the use of a real experiment in the preparation of teachers of chemistry. Maps to the historical development of teaching chemistry in the Czech Republic. In relation to the structure of the experiment, mentions the importance of experimentation of the pupils in the educational process. Further focuses the findings of experimental level students coming from different types of secondary schools questionnaire method between the listeners of the study programme Science Studies at KCH FPE. In the work are handled by some model experiments aimed at monitoring the nitration of organic compounds, used for the preparation of teachers. The processing of the model experiment on the topic of ozonation of unsaturated compounds shows that didactics and technically correct experiment makes it easier to understand and more complex issues.
Creating Illustrative Excercises for Standards for Elementary Education in the Thematic Area of Organic Compounds
Žitný, Vladimír ; Rusek, Martin (advisor) ; Beneš, Pavel (referee)
This thesis is dealing with the way of verification of the fulfilment of expected outputs of primary education in the thematic unit of organic chemistry. Based on the gradual evaluation of the reform of the Czech educational system, requirements to formulate the outputs more specifically have emerged and led to the initiation of the primary education standards. In the theoretical section the need of the preparation of the standards for the natural science studies is justified, further the methodology of the illustrative tasks output for the thematic unit of organic chemistry is decribed. In the practical section the way of verification of suggested illustrative tasks is explained, as well as the evaluation of the results of the verification and resume of the comments of primary school teachers participating in the research. The conclusion presumably suggests the necessity of revision of the framing educational program (RVP) of primary education for the science subjects and also shows further work options in this sphere, namely creating other illustrative tasks.1
