Wireless networks security assessment

Main focus of this thesis is on wireless networks security auditing. Author's goal is to create new penetration testing methodology for wireless networks WIPE and prove its usability in real terms. This new methodology is based on currently used methodologies, approaches and tools, which are introduced and tested further in the work.
The state of Czech mobile internet and the safety of its use by mobile information technologies

This work describes the state of the Czech mobile internet connectivity market and security aspects in his use by mobile information technologies. The main aim of this work is to alalyze and compares technologies and tariffs offered by Czech mobile internet providers. The second aim is the definition of the main security threads to mobile internet access from the technological point of view and from the user perspective and an introduction of prevention and defence against these threats. The objectives will be achieved primary by searching and processing information from the internet sources also by using my own experiences and experiences of users of mobile internet connections. The contribution of this work is in the complete record about the state of mobile internet in the Czech Republic and about aspects of its safety and its possible use.
The use of honeypots in the school network

The thesis deals with issues of honeypots. The first section explains what honeypots are and their use. Next I focus on their classification according the different aspects. Then I describe the advantages and disadvantages of these tools. Besides there are described some specific solutions. The last chapter of theoretical part summarizes the projects dealing with this issue. The second part of this work deals with the deployment of honeypots inside the school's network. In this part I describe a configuration of specific solutions. Then there are summarized the results of the data collected by honeypots and the last chapter describes how these data could be used at school.

This work is aimed at new Internet protocol version 6. This protocol is firstly described generally. Then I have intoduced several common, generally respected IPv6 transition. The last part is oriented on real transition model, which is described on company from Rakovnik. This company figured as local Internet service provider. This solution includes individual phase of transition, opinions and evaluation from my colleagues and also timetable and financial plan. The model, which I think out could be available for most of smaller internet service providers.
Network status visualization

The purpose of this diploma thesis is to provide a complex overview for the network status visualization topic. The diploma thesis is structured into four parts. The first one is dedicated to the definition of the most important terms, together with the description of several visualization methods, network metrics and last but not least to the discussion of visualization risks and benefits. In the second part, an own visualization process is at first proposed and then the particular steps of this process are discussed. Easy to understand examples are applied through this part. In the third part, several method of data collection protocols and visualization tools are briefly described. The analyzed tools are graphic libraries, as well as standalone applications and Network Management Systems. The last part is dedicated to the analysis of the current visualization tools used on the VŠE network. A short analysis of the university's network is also made. According to this analysis, an own solution is proposed for a particular part of network.
VoIP exchange in medium enterprise

Main subject of this work is an application Asterisk, which is one of possible solutions of VoIP telephone exchange for companies. The advantage of Asterisk is its adaptability for company's specific demands. It also offers a lot of options in configuration. The first chapter deals with basic terms from VoIP technology like codecs, protocols or end use device, which are typical for this area. The next chapter presents application Asterisk in detail -- describes parameters, installation and configuration. Asterisk is characterized by wide range of service support and it has a lot of functions. These functions are described in the next chapter. Finally I show how this application works in medium enterprise (test case).
