This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of Jelínek – výroba nábytku s. r. o. using the benchmarking method. The first part deals with the theoretical aspects of the issue. In the second chapter the selected company is introduced and the strategic analysis is elaborated. In the third part, benchmarking with selected competitors is performed. The third chapter concludes with an overall evaluation of the analysis and a SWOT analysis. In the final section, suggestions and recommendations for the overall improvement of the company's performance are described

This thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial and business performance of MK Fruit s.r.o. through the benchmarking method. The first part of the thesis defines the theoretical background related to the topic. In the second part of the thesis the strategic analysis is performed, the analyzed company and the competitors selected for comparison are presented. In the last part of the thesis, the results are summarized and recommendations for improving the financial and business performance of the company are given.

The first part determines the aims and workflow method. The second part presents indicators of financial analysis using scientific literature. The third and fourth part is practical. The practical part will present the company to which the financial indicators are applied. The end will assess the financial situation of the company and will present propositions on how to improve its financial performance.

The second part focuses on the practical aspect where theoretical knowledge is used to compile a financial analysis of the company. In the analytical part chosen methods and practices are being applied, on the basis of which are given proposals leading to improvement of the financial situation, in the final part of the thesis.

Master's Thesis focuses on the evaluation of the company STEINEX a.s. using the Balanced Scorecard method. Based on the strategic and the financial analysis and the derived strategic goals, performance indicators are identified, and their target values are established. Subsequently, specific strategic actions are defined that will lead to an increase in the company’s performance. In conclusion, the benefits and risks associated with the implementation of Balanced Scorecard method are defined.

Open-source Intelligence in the Czech Media Landscape

This thesis maps out the use of open-source intelligence in the Czech media landscape. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field, a broad theoretical foundation introducing concepts such as Web 2.0, participatory culture, alternative media or the open-source movement is presented. Furthermore, the theoretical part of the thesis includes a classification of basic open-source intelligence techniques and raises an example of an organisation producing open-source intelligence reports. The empirical part of this thesis utilised a mixed approach of both qualitative and quantitative research methods. First, a quantitative analysis of Twitter posts categorised as written in Czech mentioning the keyword 'osint' published from May 2014 to March 2022 was realised. Results indicate a growth in the topic's popularity in Czech internet discourse and suggest a causality between the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and a rising interest in open-source intelligence techniques. The qualitative part of the research makes use of semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted with 5 prominent Czech media actors using open-source intelligence in their media production process. The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial situation of the company Kovárna VIVA a.s. for the period 2016 to 2020 and subsequently provides proposals to improve its financial situation. The work is divided into three parts. This is a theoretical part, where the indicators of financial analysis are described in detail and are subsequently applied in the analytical part. The last part consists of proposals to improve the financial situation of the company. The data contained in the company's annual reports were used to create the company's analysis.
